More Chromexcel today. 9501s—probably still my favorite non shell Alden model—and JCrew. Guys are looking fabulous today, particularly the dusty Leffot PT boots and the Cigar PTBs. (Not pictured, Rancourt Natural Chromexcel belt.)

Glad to see Mac posting again. Inspired by his ravello wtb's, decided to rock mine today (yes, I know they are in need of a good treatment). Speckled wool rivets from Ep

Thanks, if I weren't already on the B+M color 8 wingtip boot on Grant last, I would consider those.

No problem. Really excited to see a picture of that makeup. I'm on the list for the next round of the B&M boot on grant.

Quote:Just amazing. You've got a great color 4 collection. Hell I didn't even know those existed. I can only imagine how hard they were to find and in that great of condition. I can only hope to be so lucky one day.

Thanks! The photos on IG of your trip were an inspiration. One could almost vicariously tour Italy through your IG posts alone.

That sounds delicious. I ate fresh anchovies a couple of times. Nothing like the canned ones.

My wife indulges me but my sister and brother-in-law were thankful that I insisted we visit Ravello.

She should thank you. Probably the nicest place on the Amalfi coast.

I agree about Ravello. I'd be happy to take an apartment and live there for six months. Plus, it's got its name going for it.

Anyone have the calfskin WT boot that can show me how it ages at the ankles?

I'm look at my CXL Indys and I'm fine with what I'm seeing there, but wondering what other leather does on calfskin WT boots. Seems like shell might yield a more desireable wear pattern there...

I thought that was on commando. Either way, I found an 8E in that boot and the seller wanted $1,200 USD + shipping. Crazy.

Such a great model. Love it. Lookin' good.

    Great color on those, Don.

I have an AE Wide Basic Dress belt in Chili (the old Chili) that actually matches my Whiskey quite well, believe it or not. For cigar, unfortunately the AE Dark Brown wide basic isn't quite right. Cigar is tougher, but for now I just go with it.

One of the best SW bals out there. Very underrated model - I love it.

    #grailstatus

    These are fantastic. Congrats.

Suede LWBs are the bee's knees. Mine are my most comfortable shoes I own.

    +1.

I don't apply ALD at all to my shells.

Great choices! The Ravello WT boot looks great. The new welt is a big improvement over the previous one you had on that pair.

Amazing boots, and even more amazing that you let your wife to open, unpack, and photograph them before you get home!

Great boots, great socks, and great loafers.

This is a very good pair of shoes.

Now that's how you do Ravello right. Stunning pair of boots.

I need more Grant last in my life. These look great.

A risky game, but one I play on occasion. Even more risky when there's a third pedal involved...

Holy fuck, you win the thread. I literally can't even right now.

I have these boots, and damn, are they sweet. Yours appear to breaking in nicely.

I really hope I get off a whiskey LWB waitlist someday soon. These look great.

I am in on the same order. I recently received my #8 shortwings that were pre-ordered at the same time as the Pitt Boots so I asked if they had any news about the Pitt Boot order and was told that they have indeed finally been confirmed and are supposedly in production. They hope to have them ready for delivery sometime in the December 2015 to February 2016 time frame. Fingers are crossed.
