Color 8 shell shoes are a good follow up to the LWB.

LoL. Yeah, good luck with this one also! :) More likely to get a Whiskey LWB done with a natural edge and welt than Natural Shell.

Good choice. Here's some pictures of mine to whet your appetite.

They'll take a great shine if that's your thing:

...but I prefer the matte, worn look for these boots. Note, same pair in all the images.

date night last night, so dark denim and my workhorses. first pair of shell ever purchased..
Was concerned with how they'd look the next day but they held up well. The vibram topy and metal toe tap from Aram held up perfect too

loving the variation in color that is emerging, told Aram not to touch the uppers [IMG]

only pic I think I took,

I'm not from the anti topy camp.. If this preventative work here can prolong the shoes for years to come, at a price cheaper than a resole, i'm all for it. plus, too many stories I've read of people getting resoles back and them not fitting etc.

I do not foresee myself ever needing to do anything other than a topy or heel replacement here on out on these.

dropping the new cigar lwb off next week with him on my way to the airport

Trying to catch up with all of these posts. I actually prefer color 8 with black edge regardless of dress or casual models. I think the antique edge looks much better with cigar than color 8 with the various casual to semi -casual make ups. To be fair though, I do not own a color 8 make up with antique edge. Hope y'all are having a great weekend!

I'm a big proponent of topys and have a pair of shoes going to Aram tomorrow. Initial plan was to convert crepe to Dainite but now going with double leather. Also getting the topy. Was thinking about adding the toe protector but was nervous about scratching hardwood floors. Is damaging floors something your conscious about when walking with these?
