If it wasnt for the Ryden boot, I would have grabbed the Walter this time around. Its a unique design.

I am a commando sole convert. I thought it was too dainty to be considered "commando", but everything has changed. They are so f-ing comfortable.

I really like the Walter boot, but too wish it was on commando. I hope Epaulet will continually run the Ryden boot so those who want it can grab a pair.

That's right! Waiting on the Ryden, but I'm not holding my breath.

Last I heard, no eta yet. But that's not surprising for Alden. Easily into 2016 I guess.

This is an outstanding pair of color 8. How old are these?

They were about 1.5 yrs old in that photo.

    Amazing pair for sure.

Sold them to a fellow member back around the first of the year...

Have been longing for a pair ever since.

    Thanks.

That was my guess. I was figuring beginning of 2016.

I preordered a ravelo wingtip boot from AoM in May of 2014, and am supposed to take delivery of a cigar wingtip boot instead in October of 2015. Over a year for delivery and that speaks nothing on the people that opted to wait for the ravelo. Not knocking AoM, they handled very professionally.

    Why did you sell?

Btw that Walter boot does look awesome, but I kinda wish Alden did black or silver eyelets and hooks.

    That would be amazing.

I even bought a black CXL belt and retro fitted it with a vintage brass buckle in anticipation of these bad boys. Havent been this excited about a pair of boots in a good while.

This boot is singular. Maybe one of the few black boots I'd consider. Thanks for sharing this item from the recent archives. Cheers.

I agree, I have a pair of Alden NST walkers with the crepe sole and I am not a big fan. These boots would be awesome in a commando or leather sole.

Still jealous of the guys who got in on the Ryden Boot. Couldn't check out fast enough on that one.
