These are Cigar with an antique edge as per the serial number in the shoes and as advertised when they were sold. Back when I purchased them I didn't know what I wanted, I just pointed, and I think I tried on both #8 and this pair. They look a lot lighter in person than most Cigar and some Ravello i've come across, and these are generally perceived to be Ravello when commented on. I don't know why they are so much more reddish, lighter, and not as dark olive toned as the Cigar I'm now accustomed to recognizing; but one person did tell me that they could be "old Cigar". In some light they look paler in some light they look browner - I guess that's what Shells all about.
    Thanks for the warm welcome!
    Beautiful!

A mistake. For some reason I thought you indicated that you had Ravello and Cigar in addition to the whiskeys. Still, really sweet chukkas.

I remember the limited run of these from a few years back. Its an interesting model - all eyelets, but it has less eyelets than a usual all-eyelet Alden boot. I think a normal Alden boot would have 9 eyelets and this looks like it has 6. Anyone ever seen that before on an Alden boot?

Looks like 7. I don't think I had ever noticed that before. I guess it's just not as tall as Alden's standard offerings?

Been busy with the new job so haven't had much time to check on the thread. Maybe that's a good thing for my wallet.

Alden is easily my favorite wingtip boot design. I need color 8 and black shell.

Mink brown suede captoe boots on Barrie today, got these as seconds from TSM. Not sure what the defect is, which I'm not complaining about.

On a related note, I need to change size for Barrie lasted boots; need 1/2 size up due to snugness. I have several pairs of barely worn (at most 3 times) barrie boots in 6E that I need to let go, wanted to see if there are any interested parties here before they go up on market place/ebay. Please shoot me a PM if interested.

Yes, Zbix is right. It has 7 eyelets and it's a tad shorter than the 9 eyelets boot (I only realise that after you guys mentioned about it). Here are some side by side photo of it with the Alden x Jcrew Perf CT boot
