    I got confirmation from Kathy it's antique. #3 with only 1 pair is concerning though.

    I wish someone would redo the creamery boot. I have the boot in D width, but I really need an E. Such a great pair of black boots.
    Edit: Here we go but needs commando soles, theses are awesome. [IMG]
    Leather Soul called this the Pitt boot. Also a great make-up, but another one that has vanished into the wilds and has not been redone.

    They make it on the Copley last. Clearly a different loafer from the BB Aberdeen version.

    Right, the last is distinctly different, but the foxing on the rear, did that not used to be exclusive to BB? I remember reading something along the lines of "foxing on the rear is something exclusive to BB you will never see another Alden with this" haha, so you can see why I would be surprised.

    Edit: here's the quote and article

    Then, in 1957, Brooks Brothers, at the height of its fame as the Ivy League emporium, approached Alden and expressed an interest to include the shoe in its collection. "Especially for them," Clark explains, "Alden produced a tassel loafer with a distinctive decorative foxing at the back part of the shoe, which remains exclusive to Brooks Brothers." The foxing is the raised stitching on either side of the heel cup. Regular Aldens have a plain heel cup with a strip of leather up the back seam.

    I've always liked Leffot's black alpine grain makeups. In addition to this one, they got a restock of their longwing on crepe in some sizes as well.

    I have been petitioning a few retailers to make a black shell tanker with flat antique welt. No luck.

    I use it about 2-3 times a year, too. However, i know I got some water spray on my 975s and I did get those mini raised bumps. Probably won't buy it again when it runs out. I also avoid shell if the forecast calls for rain.

    Speaking of black shell . . . someday I hope they say about me, "He died with his boots on."

    I love that Ravello shell, especially in a wingtip shoe or wingtip boot like these!

    @mdubs

    That B width makes the boot so much more handsome. Superb. Congrats on the pickup!
