I know there are Color 8 LWB with antique edge and welt, but Leffot had an Alden #8 LWB that had antique edge with black welt.

I am having an old pair of Florsheim Royal Imperial LWB resoled and wanted to know if I should step up and have B. Nelson replace the black welt with antique.

    Thanks guys!

Alden definitely had a full leather heel at some point. I'm not sure when they transitioned to the dovetail combo though. Here's an ebay auction from a NOS bb cordo loafer with the heel. I've also seen one with a v-cleat.

Anyone receive their Cigar Indy's from this recent TSM run? Curious if the color is as dark as the recent cigar that has been posted on this thread.

Ah very cool! Learn something new every day! Do you think those are from the 70's or 80's or older?

I jumped on the Alden on Madison #8 tanker boot order, get them next week. My thoughts were the welt on this one should be a little more waterproof, which when matched with commando sole makes it pretty versatile. In addition I already have the NST dress boot on Aberdeen from TSM to fill the dressy boot category.

I've seen some awesome Alden's this week, keep it rolling! It got down to mid teens last night in Dallas.

    See Ya,
    Steve

Mike-Those Ravello NST's are superb! I got mine from TSM too, but mine are a some of the lighter Ravello from a few years ago.

Hey guys, as part of my resolution for the year I'm getting rid of things I don't use enough. That, in this case, includes my Epaulet Natural CXL longwings. If anyone is interested they're 8.5 D Barrie.

I too jumped on a pair. I figure with our weather out here the commando plus storm welt will make the legit "Tankers" Plus they look great and now i don't have to fight the crowd and wait for the Leffot version. A much quicker and easier process for essentially the same boot. I'm super stoked:)

Excellent Dubs! Thy're a little darker than the ones I acquired about about a year ago or so from TSM (I believe mine were NOS).

I need a tanker in my life! Great look boots my friend. Enjoy them often and in great health!ing

Color 8 full-strp oozes class! Great looking ensemble my friend!

I need some pebble grain shit-kickers with class. I believe you have the ticket!

I just realize that I only have one pair of cigar shell. I need another and this would certainly make me happy! Enjoy them my friend!
