it's not just creases. Also CGI level photography to conceal the evidence.

I'm assuming this is a preorder which is too late to get in on at this point?

Can anyone tell me how the Red Wing Iron Ranger boots fit when compared to Alden Barrie/Trubalance sizing?

Wow, I'm a little surprised you prefer the barrie for the NST!

    Much thanks Uncle!

    Tif,

If I had a dollar for every time I said that I would have enough "dough ray me" to pay cash money for a new pair of Alden rare cordo's.....maybe even 2......

Such is the nature of the beast when you are in the Alden game! [IMG]

My Pops just scored himself a pair for Black Friday and I got to handle them....I was actually impressed.

The heel was nailed on with 270 welt construction. Oiled leather upper with a very interesting sole. Neocork I think.

    Stiff as a board though.

I think you would want your Barrie/Tru size.

Pops wears AE 5 last in 11D like it was made for him.....11D Iron Ranger had him swimming.

I wear the same size in iron Rangers as I do in barrie / trubalance. If your feet are wide you may have to size up.

Anyone ever try a Barrie Indy A/C and how much more narrow is it than the B/D?

Thanks. Sounds like it's the same as Barrie size then.

I am basically a 9.5 D on a brannock; wear a 9D in an Iron Ranger and Beckman; wear a 9D or 9C in Trubalance (Indy's) and a 9D in barrie; 9.5D in most other Alden lasts.

How does this work for you all? Before right, after left.

And done. They are ready to go tomorrow. :)

Need 2 pairs of boots for WIsconsin winter. Casual boots that can take a beating. 404 Kudus on order. You guys think these #8 crepe soles would hold up well?

I would like to relegate this response to a snow expert. I would not have a clue! What is the preferred snow sole? Creep?

I actually live around the Rockford/Beloit area and have gotten good service out of 2 Alden Cordovan boots.

    1. #8 WT boot on commando
    2. #8 PCT boot with Topy's on sole and heel

Shell is actually an amazing winter leather. And for this area as well.

I have never owned crepe but I would not see why it would not work well for what you need it to.

    Thanks!
