Would my size in the Turbulance last be the same size as in the Barrie last? Sounds like it would be, but wanted to be sure.

Also, I'm assuming Aldens can be re-soled. IE if it has a crepe sole I can get a leather sole or a dianite sole put on instead, right?

The general advice is to go with the same size in Trubalance as the Barrie.

Yes, you can switch to a different sole (as they're Goodyear welted) but not with Alden recrafting. They will only do what the shoe originally came with. You would have to go to another cobbler, i.e., B. Nelson in NYC. That's my understanding.

For most (myself included), trubalance and barrie are taken at the same size. But trubalance being the most generous size from alden, I could see some maybe going down a width possibly.

Regarding resoling, Alden will only resole a shoe with the same sole it came with. An independent cobbler should be able to retrofit a different sole though.

JG, those are absolutely beautiful Ravello Chukkas. It gives me some inspiration to get mine out of their box! :)

Thank you for refraining on the crotch, plus now we don't need binoculars to enjoy your Ravello Longwings! They look terrific of course!

Happy Thanksgiving to all who will be celebrating it!!! Hard to argue with eating and being thankful! :)

that crepe'ish sole will break in wonderfully, but that knot needs to be stepped up imo

Thanks mdubs. It's amazing how many times I just look at them rather than wear them. :)

    Enjoy the holidays!
