I love those. I have the shortwing version and would trade them for the longwing in a heartbeat.

Does anyone know if the reverse chamois will stain the same way suede does? I'm always worried about raw denim stains ... my wife calls them first world problems and tells me they are just shoes!

I think reverse chamois is more durable and resistant to staining than suede.

I think denim stains look good. I just figure its part of my wardrobe and don't really stress it. Its funny because spilled and other things bother me much more than that

Gentlemen, which do you think is Alden's best whiskey model out of these three: PTB, SWB, or LWB?

I like ptb best. Plain and simple. Most shine and luster.

Ptb or lwb. SWB is not the best choice for this color imo

Yeah, I embrace denim stains as a species of patina.

Would love a pair. I'll email them and get in line behind Sazon for that size.

    Lwb.

Nate humble from alden will be at the unionmade sf store this Thursday.
Can someone go talk to this guy and pitch him our wish list...
    1. #8 grain shell lwb. They've done it before, #8 is easy for them to get and work with.
    2. freaking double monk
    3. Fill in the blank folks...

    LWB

Does your SWB mean shortwing blucher (not offered), or shortwing Balmoral (offered on Tremont).

These reverse chamois Alden (from Winn Perry) have only been worn with denim. As you can see, there is some indigo staining where the hem of my jeans rubbed against the boots, but it's only visible in full sunlight and at eye level. On my feet, it's not noticeable at all.

sounds like i'll have to go with my usual plan - keep them clean as long as i can so they fit the varying nature of my wardrobe - than "downgrade them" to casual only wear when those stains start to really set in!
