The saddle pattern results in a shoe that is is smaller and sleeker than other Barrie shoes. I've observed this with my Leffot saddles. This fact also greatly enhances the standard color 8 saddle, as Uncle's photos show.

The 994 (color 8) and 993 (black shell) are probably the sleekest Barrie models Alden makes - due primarily to the fact that they have a closed heel (270 welt), single leather soul, and a flat welt. I own them both, with no regrets.

Hey fellas, quick question, friendly question, searched thread and couldn’t find an answer. What kind of chap-stick do you guys recommend? Im looking to get some time off so ill need to be kissing ass. I mean a lot of NST and this thread is full of the bootlicking and cigarnosing, so to speak. Could you guys recommend something with all day protection? Maybe even a spray? Thx, bye now

just got my seconds order in

according to the list, it was a cigar barrie model with no picture. based on the model number, I was pretty sure it was a LWB. At first, I thought I didn't get the pair, but then I found out that I was the lucky buyer

however, it looks like it's not actually cigar, but color 8. I think this is a second from the recent leffot run:


I can't see any defect at all. I think I'll be keeping these

The 975 is Alden's stock color 8 LWB. Yours are color 8. By the way, nice score.

I use the original with good results.

They look great.................makes me question my decision to go for the LWB over the Tankers when the obvious decision was to get both.

Some people (men and women) seem to have a visceral negative reaction to the split toe style. Same with various monk straps. However I've never run into a woman that doesn't like wingtips (no matter what the brand is)

My wife is definitely not a fan of the monk straps.
