About to make my first Alden purchase. Deciding between the Chukka in Dark Brown Kuda, or the Leather Soul CXL Chukka. Someone help me decide!

^^ If you're ok with lots Of wrinkles then is up to color and sole preference, I like the CXL color better, but hate CXL wrinkles, people here love CXL and I agree that's a very comfortable and resistent leather but after owning two pairs I came to the conclusion that CXL is not for me at least on Aldens, For some reason the Rancourt CXL beefrolls i've seen doesn't wrinkle as bad as Aldens.

Kudu chukka is a stock item

The leather sole CXL are harder to come by

I love my kudu with rubber soles care free and perfect in a pinch for wet days

    Quick Leydon sizing question:

I know the consensus for the Leydon Chukkas is TTS +one width up , but what about Leydon std. lined shoes, do you go TTS or still go up in width too?

Is the Leydon narrower than Aberdeen?Aberdeen TTS fits me well, but have never tried Leydon.

    Thanks.

My favorite would be a Ravello straight tip boot on the Grant last, 270-welt, double leather JR soles.

Fav would have to be the Leffot Tanker, though the Ravello NST boot on Plaza is fricking unreal too.

I think the leather soul's is awesome....I am fighting a personal battle with CXL at the moment so that is the only reason I am not ordering one.

What is amazing is that I had ZERO desire for the Natty NST boot they sent by mistake yet I can not seem to print the return label out...What is this disease you people infected me with!

Yeah I think the leather on the LS looks really nice, but I like the rubber sole on the Kudu Chukka. A few people have mentioned creases etc with CXL- is this what you meant? I have no experience with that leather. Thanks!
