    Great looking suede gentlemen.
Is anyone else SUPER careful when they drive wearing light color suede? I scuffed a pair of boots once w a parking break pedal.

I like the glib remark but at the end of the day I don't wear a lot of Suede because of this very factor. Shell and calf the rubber is easily removed with Reno. Suede is just fucked if you get the rubber marks. I drive a six speed clutch ... It happens .. A lot. My 2 cents.. Now if your driving the Soccer Mom Van with an automatic, your good to go with the Gucci Suede.

This is why people wear driving shoes. Rubber nubs or full sole tread on the heel and sometimes on toe can help...

    I would agree.

I called J Crew this morning to get the last info. The poor woman I spoke to sounded so confused. When I asked her about the last she hesitated and said "well, these are made in the USA and have leather linings"

When I explained the last concept again she put me on hold. She came back and said that she would have to check with a style specialist and she would get back to me in a few days.

Oh well. In any case, they look pretty sharp. If they were snuff, I'd be on them in a second. I too am worried about the light colored suede.

If by glib you mean insincere or superficial or careless, my remark was not glib. It was an honest answer to a question that solicited a response. Further, suede, like other leathers, can be cleaned with the proper products and techniques.

I also asked the same question because the sole pic looks like TB. But the the uppers looks like Barrie, tyey have no idea this is the answer I received:

    Hi,

This is a great question and I am researching into this to find out for you. As soon as I receive the answer, I will email you again and let you know. This may take a few days, but I want to make sure I get the right answer.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out - I'm happy to help.

    Best,

It's probably best to get the style number from inside the boot and then email Alden, as I did with the alpine grain cap toe bluchers which are Hampton. I sent the info to J. Crew who said they'd get this to their web team. I see they have top men on it.

I called, after ordering, and had the exact same conversation with a similarly confused/overwhelmed agent. We must drive them nuts :) Once one of us has a question/interest about something, god knows how many of us (many of whom never post about it) make the same phone call on the same day. Lol.

After finally seeing these on a desktop, versus mobile device, I'm 99% certain they are trubalance as well.
