^^ Wow Don. They look like my Whiskeys! (well in the first shot) Love the color variation in those.

Well done DonL! They rock, my friend... [IMG]

I finally get the difference between light, mid-tan, and brown antique... There is hardly a difference between light and mid-tan. It really isn't noticeably different unless under lots of light, and even then it's not that much of a difference. I believe DonL's pics demonstrate this.

I compared my whiskey sw bal with light antique edge with Cigar LWB (mid-tan), Ravello NST (mid-tan), J Crew Waxed tobacco LWB (light), and a few others, and they are all very close. That said, I don't think I have seen a Cigar LWB done with light antique.

So, it seems like the order list for Alden DC is already set :(

Their run of Ravello LWB will be on double waterlock soles (exactly what I was looking for). I put my name down for a future order. Sucks.

Can I only reach Adam of AoC via email? The site is down and I can't find a number.

How do you know if you're on the list to buy it this run or not?

I was told this run is "coming soon," and that list already has many names on it. So, basically, I'm not "in" for this upcoming delivery.

    Gents,

If you're on the list for a size 8D of this run of DC's ravello LWB, happy to take it off your hands. Just FYI.

I put my name down but I'm #4 or 5 on the waitlist. Pretty sure I'm not going to get it, so I will be sending my check to Adam today. But judging from what happened with the Cigar captoes, I might have a shot at #5? I would prefer the double waterlock soles too.

I don't know if his are from JGilbert, but JGilbert does a Plaza-lasted Cap Toe Boot.

All 4 pairs of the #8 dover in 9D were sold over the weekend at UM. I was out of SF and wanted to see it in store after @sacafotos commented on them being too blobby. Of course I should have acted faster because it's an ideal makeup for me right now. I got disoriented by the fact that no pairs in my size were sold for a couple days before then. Did anyone here pull the trigger on those?

Can't say I blame you. I really should have bought yours. Instead I got EG fever.

Looks like Mac's are Plaza, so I really don't blame you!

I was in the fence as well for an 8.5 and sat too long. Looked like a great shoe. Good thing is something always seems to come around to replace what I missed. Time to see what that may be.

Hope one pops back up for sale for you on the site.

Anyone looking to broaden their horizons should check out Carmina's sale section. They have 50% off shipping this month to the US which makes their sale shoes a steal if you wear the right size.

I remember someone picked up a pair of their cognac shell LWBs a while back. I'm tempted since they have my size but would love to see pictures.
