Oddly enough, a pair of NIB ravello PTBs just went for $691.99 on ebay. They were first quality and never tried on. 10.5D

Need a little advice here. I just got a pair of suede BB 986s in 10D they snug all around off the bat. I already own unlined cordovan 986s from BB in 10D which fit fine and thats why I ordered the same size.

Its my understanding that the suede 986s should stretch more than the cordovan ones.

Im considering sizing up to 10.5D in the suede but it seems like once they break in the will be too big.

Anyone have experience with the suede BB 986s?

I was able to get on the recent LWB preorder in 13D. I did have to pay in full.

    See Ya,

Oh man. That must be the pair I linked to a while back. Glad I decided I didn't want them, or I'd totally be kicking myself right now.

I normally wear a 12D in the Van last however I have a 11.5D in the suede LHS and they fit perfect. I sent them in to be refurbished so maybe they will come back with a more snug fit... Only time will tell.

In an unrelated subject these shoes look like a helluva deal for anyone trying to pick up a sleeker version of the PTB in #8.

Full disclosure... This could be my auction and I don't need two PTBs in #8. :)

Daylight pics would probably bring a higher price.

eBay auctions can be so random. I've snagged several new pairs of Aldens for under $300 over the past year because no one else bid.

Anything goes if 2 or 3 people get in a bidding war. I collect golf books and had a USGA Yearbook from the 1920s I had picked up at auction for like $20. I threw it on eBay, 2 guys needed that particular year to complete their collection, and it wound up selling for $1,500. You just never know.

They sold last week for $332 and the guy who won them didn't read the description because he thought these for like the Barrie. I normally don't allow returns on auctions because someone doesn't read the description but I did in this instance.
I might try to put some more daylight pix on. These were reglazed by Alden and they look flipping amazing IMO.

Thank you for the tip Bakes!

So glad I went to Alden to double check my sizing in Barrie for the Leffot preorder.

I only tried a 7.5D at Unionmade because they never order E sizing. I thought that was my size and I measure an 8E.

Turns out a shell cap toe boot fits me best in 8E and a 975 fit me in 8D.

Now I know. Good SAs over there at Alden SF...

@tampatravel - I know they're not on the Barrie last--but can you offer an equivalent sizing for BB PTB? Personally I wear 11D Tremont, 11.5D Marlow & Plaza/M-75 BB WT (although they fit a little long, the width seems right on).
