Damn, with spring just around the corner I am falling in love with the LHS. Looks like I am going to have to keep an eye out on the used market for pair, I suppose I will just add it to my ever going list of wanted Aldens haha.

Do people usually go with their Barrie size?

Edit: Looks like a BB pair is currently on the bay in my Barrie size, seems resoled so I wonder how old they are. The uppers look like they are in good condition. Maybe I will throw a bid in.

Ha. I wish I was holding back for my own benefit, but only two look good -- captoe suede boot and black LWB on crepe with antique edging -- and I have absolutely no need for either.

Love the snuff suede boots. Got my first crepe sole the other day, very comfortable. I'd like a cigar boot one day before i am done...and I know , we're never done :) sounds like your collection is off to a good start

If anyone is looking for a discount on Alden from NRO, I just got an email that they have a discount on gift cards, where you can buy $100 worth for only $50. I don't know if there are rules against stacking (I'm sure there probably are), but you can at least use this to get $50 off a pair.

You would think. I bet I know where the Chinese military source their shoes.

I totally agree, especially after ReppTiePrepster posted his 9751.

Very nice boots. Sorry, you're now addicted and your wallet screwed. Next month you'll be celebrating the fact you found slightly imperfect $800 shoes at full retail. Or that your 3rd in line in some waiting list, if only 2 other people back out...
Brilliant rtp. I end up not wearing nice shoes in Hawaii, even in nicer restaurants, aloha style reigns supreme. I will finally make it to leather sole this spring break. It will b great if they happen to have something awesome. We like Maui. I take flip flops, nikes, and golf shoes.
Nice combo sir. Ep Harris tweed?

Has anyone ever had anything shipped by Citishoes? I have a long awaited shoe come in and need to make sure they do not require signature upon reciept (I am in Toronto, the shoes are going to be held in Boston). If they ship UPS/Fedex I will need to sign for the shoes (and obviously cannot)

    Any ideas?

I have bought from them twice. I don't recall signature required. You could ask them how they shipped it?

Being East-coast born and raised but living in Denver I was stoked when Lawrence Covell started carrying Alden. Pretty sure it's new this year but definitely a good selection. I think I'm in need of their Chukka boot. Anyone have the 1493's?[IMG][IMG]

agreed! While foxing is the only diff btwn the standard and bb versions, I really like the extra detail.
