Best looking Alden boots for everyday wear (casual with jeans)? I also want to be able to use them as motorcycle boots. Looked at AF43, Context Tanker, Black Shell Indy w commando sole. I do not own any Alden shoes and appreciate your expertise.

^ "Best" does not mean much of anything. They are all good looking boots, IMO, and should all do the trick. Get the pair you like the most.

Hey, thanks. Some just look more dressier then others, thought perhaps there was a staple /go-to for a really causal look.

^ Those are all on the casual side, but sharp. The commando sole is a good choice for what you are looking for. I am personally partial to the Tanker boot. Also keep in mind that 2 of your choices are on the Trubalance last, which is wider than the barrie (which I believe the Context Tanker is also on). You should probably find a way to try some boots on in these lasts if you have not done so already --- the way they fit might make a big difference for you.

Leather Defender smells exactly like and has that light milky consistency of Armor All. I think that is what it is, simply rebottled for or by Alden.

Thanks for the heads up as my NeedSupply tobacco ranger mocs arrived today. Decided to keep them instead of a pair of BB Rancourt mocs I purchased on sale on Boxing Day, which arrived today as well.

Switched out the laces as the ones with the shoes are too short....

Hi friends, does anyone know of a shop in NYC that sells deer bone? I was planning on picking one up at Leffot but they are out.

I would stick to a plain toe, a tanker or the Indy. Most casual would be the Indy, but I still think it does everything well. Tanker is my personal favorite.

I wear 10d Barrie. I recently bought the Swims Mobster Boots in 2XL. I think theywould be good for an 11 Arrie max. They fit comfortably over mt Chukkas and LWBs. I don't think I could get them over my tankers with comando soles. Moral of the story is go big., possibly XL.

These are my Alden color8 shells from what I think is most casual to most dressy (front to back). Indy, Tanker and Straight Tip.
