Context has said that they'll be putting out a new preorder for black tankers in the next few weeks. I'm signed up for their mailing list to get notice as soon as it's up.

    Cheers!

Any suggestions on casual belts that would come close to matching the color of these ravello lwbs? I was looking at Equus but I can't determine which color would be optimal from the photos.

In other news, this is them in the sun - crazy color difference.

Nice Tampa - I like the red laces. May need to try those on my #8 captoes.

    enjoy!

+1 tampa. Nice boots. I'm partial to the fun colored laces add to a nice pair of shoes. Wear them in good health sir.

I thought so. I got mine a week ago. I compared the haberdash CXL ptb 7.5d to my shortwing 8d. It looks a tad wider.

Thanks fellas. I bought them from KWhiteLaw who was excellent to deal with and shipped much faster than J.Crew :)

The laces are from Benjo's (http://benjos.com/) and they happen to have a coupon out right now for FREE SHIPPING: YAHFREESHP

I can't stress enough how awesome they are to deal with plus the laces are made in the USA!

It's scary that you know my taste so well, Bakes. I was actually thinking about buying a bag this size, but a couple factors stand in the way: I'd probably end up wanting a black shell bag for non-brown-shoe-wearing days; I have recently decided to see if I can stop lugging around my 15" Macbook Pro that has come to feel heavy after buying an ipad mini a couple weeks back; and I may be converting part of my home to accommodate a home practice sooner than I thought. Maybe a shell cordovan shoulder bag that is not too murse-looking would do the trick--both chiropractically and financially. Any ideas, folks? For that matter, can anyone suggest a good iOS app for mirroring Mac OS?

BTW, you guys bring me closer every day to pulling the trigger on the JCrew pct boots; please stop posting pics, especially with the funky red laces! I already have several color 8 models!! It's your fault that the funds I keep trying to set aside for the EG monk straps keep going to Alden boots and shoes I probably don't need.

I also wanted to give props to the gents who are properly beating up their Indys. I often forget to wear mine, so it's helpful to see how patina truly trumps pristine.

Looks awesome! I might have to take advantage and get some fun laces for my Indys.

    Did you go with 54"?

    Doc,

You can use a program like logmein ignition to remotely connect to your Pro and run it. Its also a great workaround to run flash on your iPad :)

Got bored last night and decided to make a few observations:

Style Forum-A very weird fraternity with high admission costs, once addicted its a hard habit to break. Heavy users are known to sniff their shoes frequently, and caress them in a loving way. In extreme cases a deer bone and horse hair brush are used to caress the shoe or wallet in a attempt keep the item in like new condition. This process can be very time consuming, taking an entire evening in extreme conditions to restore the shoe. Be advised this is physically exhausting process, with lots of whining about sore arms and hands from buffing and polishing, sore butts from sitting and a overall expected complaint coming from spouses about what in the hell is wrong with them. Being an Aldenholic can be very impulsive, with primary signs being a need to add a Alden shoe that he needs for his collection. Be advised there is no collection that's too big, nor is there an issue if the Aldenholic decides he wants more styles in the same color...be advised these shoes must be worn in a rotation and require rest between each wearing. The typical Aldenholic wears 1 pair during the day and another pair in the evening. Each pair of shoes should rest 2-3 days after wearing. Therefore 7 pairs of Alden's are needed for the main part of the day, and to allow proper rest 14 more pairs completes the daytime rotation. The wearing of Alden's away from a work environment opens up a new set of requirements, the rules still apply 1 day of wear equal 2 days off.. As you can see a properly prepared Aldenholic should have a minimum of 21 daytime pairs and 21 night time pairs. This does not allow for change of moods, or seasons. A moderately prepared Aldenholic will own 50-60 pairs, the best prepared are Uncles with lots of nephews. The Uncle is legendary and honestly nobody knows how many Alden's he has stashed in his vaults. The Uncle may be connected underground to unknown sources because he posses many MTO boots and shoes never seen by anyone else. Some are confused about why he's the Uncle...but those of us committed to being an Aldenholic follow the dangerous path of searching for clues across the world., crossing borders, talking foreign languages, different currencies, even trying to understand language barriers between the great Alden Cities in New York, Connecticut, Maine, Philly, Chicago, Washington, and across the country to San Francisco. As you can see this quest is not for the faint of credit limit, nor shipping charges, and the dreaded pre-order that's not been confirmed. Yet there's hope because we gossip with each other on who's getting what and when? Plus we take sexy pictures of our collection and post them for all too see and we call it Style Forum and it was good!

That's the story of our merry gang of Aldenholics...may all have a high credit limit with no end in sight!

Hope you enjoyed my fun little explanation of what we do and why?

    See Ya,
    Steve

I did not read that but it sounds like you have way too much time on your hands.

^ Is sniffing and lovingly caressing one's shoes sexual confusion - and should it be banned in CA?

2nd wear of the new gunboats today. The double waterlocks are still going to need some wear to break in, but the CXL is already starting to relax a bit :)

You've got it all wrong. This is a weekend bag, for weekend trips, not a murse. You could make house-calls with it. Use it to carry your stethoscope and knee mallet.

My money is on DV! :slayer:

He's the most humble dude with the most amazing collection!

3 weeks time we'll see it on his perfect lawn in one of those early morning shots!

There isn't a lot I wouldn't do for that bag. :embar:
