For the damp cloth I use a regular terry washcloth which I wet and wring out well. For the buffing I use cotton birdseye weave diapers (easily obtained at Amazon, for instance). It probably doesn't matter what you use as long as it's soft, but I would say it's best for buffing to stay away from cloth which frays or shreds easily, especially if you have a lot of wingtips. I started out using a felt cloth, but it resulted in too much lint.

For a damp cloth I use my daughter's Dora the Explorer hand towel. She's outgrown Dora and it is ultra soft. For buffing, I use the large fancy, flannel cloth that came with my Tiger Woods/Nike golf shoes from several years ago (also very soft).

Does anyone use flannel shoe bags for buffing/polishing? I envision one would use it as sort of a mitt, possibly.

Fine looking boots McPyron. Not sure I agree with corn-pickin' usage, but to each his own. (Nothin' like sweet corn!) Wear in great health my friend!

I have a whiskey LWB, but that is it. Have a Leffot #8 LWB on order.

I'm looking for cigar in anything at the moment. Heard of some at Citishoes, but nothing in my size.
