I have both and if I could only keep one, it would probably be the snuff suede. The Kudu us great but I just get much more wear from the snuff suede LWB, especially in the spring and summer. However, the Kudu are pretty indestructible and there is no weather condition in which I would be apprehensive to wear them.

That's an outstanding price. Agree about the fine nap suede. Suede on the milkshake Indys is a fine nap as well.

Quote: I have a pair of these from the first order of these. Great looking shoe. You are paying a bit more for these than the standard color 8 lwb, but the antique edge plays up the casual wear of this shoe, which I found desirable. Leffot is a pleasure with which to deal.

What I have found myself doing is wearing my Brooks Brothers balmoral color 8 wingtips with suits while wearing the color 8 longwings more casually and with the odd trousers. The standard color 8 longwing is outstanding as well, but the antique edge gives the Leffot (and similar) versions a great pop with casual wear.

Awesome shot. Great combo. You should get yourself a wheelchair so you can go about your day and not have to move from that position!

I've never pre ordered before with Leffot, are they generally timely with fulfillment?

Usually pretty close. The difference with them compared to some other retailers is that they do not offer the pre-order until the order is confirmed into production. These means that a timeframe for delivery has been given by Alden. I prefer this style to the 2+ years I have been waiting for other orders

Thanks. This is my 1st pair of shells that I've bought new and am amazed how the color is coming in.

PSA: so the whole shell cordovan shortage thing is bullshit. I had a friend go to the Horween factory today (his 3d time visiting). He spoke to Nick Horween who offered to fill all the orders of shell that he wanted. The whole shell wait time is unclear-but it is not for lack of shell.

This doesn't mean the shortage is BS. Your friend may be able to go to Horween and place an order for 10 shells, yet Horween could still not have enough to fill an order from Alden for 1,000.

True, but he said that he saw "stacks and stacks" of shells. Indicated that it was in the hundreds.
