Modified sits between the Trublance and Barrie. It is still down a half size but a bit less wide if a toebox than the Trubalance

I don't own anything on the Modified but I hear it works well with high arches.

The real difference in the modified is a significantly narrower waist to the shoe, with much more arch support. It's definitely a different fit from Barrie/TB in that regard. Otherwise, I wear the same size for all three lasts. Good toe room in the Modified. Comfortable.

I've only had great experiences with them. Give them a call to verify they have it in stock; I believe San Francisco is their flagship location but they have another shop in LA.

Not exactly the same makeup, but pretty close. ShoeMart also has a Natural CXL plain toe boot on the Trubalance last seen here

I probably visit or order from Mill/Unionmade once a month and have had nothing but amazing service. Based on my experience if it shows as in stock on the site, it's in stock. Speaking of Unionmade... just opened this:

I have bought several pairs from them... They're very good, excellent customer service and if you see the size on the site that means they have it in stock (I did have one instance where they showed availability on the site and ended up not having it... They were extremely apologetic over the error).

Those are some beauties. Thanks for the info on Unionmade. Looks like I'll be placing an order a month for a couple months too!

Anyone selling a #8 Wingtip boot right now? Either in stock or for pre-order? I need a 7.5D or 8D dependent on last.

    Thanks!

    I'm looking at a pair of used Aldens. There are markings inside - 8c22 026 6 684

Can anyone tell me what they mean, and if you can identify the last?

Aberdeen last. 8c might indicate a narrow size 8. Good luck.

None of them, the 684 at the end identifies the model number which is the shell full strap loafers on the aberdeen last.

I don't think any number identify the last. The 684 is the model number of the shoe. Once you have that, you can know the last.
