#8 PTB after 2 months.

Nice combination! Those are a beautiful shade of burgundy. Have they lightened up in the 2 months you've had them?

I haven't noticed any color change so far. Perhaps in a year or so? My whiskeys have darkened considerably in 5 years.

The only reason I ask is because they look lighter than my new PTBs, but perhaps it's just the photo. Anyway, they sure are perty.

Each batch may have a somewhat different color. Nothing to worry about. It's part of what makes the shoe more interesting.

Yeah, I'm certainly not worried about it at all. Happy with them as is, and looking forward to aging in tandem, slowly but surely, and well.

I dont know where all of the Modified last love is coming from all of a sudden. They look like clown shoes to me. Even more than the trubalance. The toe box is too bulbous and the the waist is too tapered...imo

Have numerous shoes/boots from Alden (and other brands) and while Modified may not be comparable to the Aberdeen or Plaza within the Alden last world, the fit of the Modified is excellent for me. The heel grib, arch support, and ball width is a unique combination. As a casual boot or shoe, I think it's great.

If I want sleek, I can reach for my EGs, if it's comfort for the day, the Modified (and Barrie as a close second) are worn.
