I think Epaulet is trying to work on a Whiskey wingtip boot, but don't quote me on that.

I'm in the same boat as you, however I was fortunate enough to score a pair of the Unlined Whiskey Shell PTBs from Brooks Brothers. Was a limited Alden run for BB. That has been the only van lasted loafer that has worked for me.

I'm actually a 7.5B by measurement and in the Hampton last. I conjecture that I would be a 7B in the Barrie.

That is correct; Whiskey wingtip boot on Plaza with a commando sole and antique edgetrim that I helped coordinate and put together. Mike and I discussed it last week and he mentioned that he will be putting up a preorder on his site in the next couple weeks. Keep your eyes peeled and be prepared to wait 9 - 12 months at minimum.

All, I just recently came to the realization that barrie-lasted shoes don't really work for me because of the heel is too wide; so I am going to have to part ways with some of my Aldens shoes.

Before I go to the trouble of making an ebay listing, I wanted to see if anyone on this thread would be interested in a pair of black alpine grain/whiskey shell saddles from Blackbird that I have worn literally 3 times. They are size 10D on the Barrie last.

Sold out in that size, retailing for $535. Looking to get $400 or best offer.

You can check out the link below:

PM if you are seriously interested and I can pass along pics. Thanks.

Hmm.. If I have a pair of Whiskey LWBs, would that boot be redundant... (almost makes me wish I had gone with the Cigar LWB).

^ Yeah, I'd consider that dark suede version if it was still an option. The CXL Roy is tough to beat though...

    Those. Are awful.

But that is just one man's opinion! I also could see it working better with a different sole.

Would love to see pics! Sounds like a great shoe.

Ah, crap, this one is already over? I was hoping it was still in pre-order. Guess I'll have to keep an eye out on ebay/b&s for em, then. :/

After a few months of lurking, I finally have determined it's a good time to start contributing.

Natural CXL PTB's from Alden Madison Ave

Yes, welcome (and it is a great shoe). But, candidly I'm a little concerned that you've been lurking for a few months and the only damage we've caused you to do is a pair of natural CXL PTBs.
