Am I the only one who doesn't find this that shocking? I was in a fraternity. Similar things were said, although certainly not to the extent as in this girl's email. What's bullshit is that people feel like forwarding emails like this to Gawker. I love Gawker and read it daily, but society's desire to share everything (as I write this on a menswear forum) drives me crazy.

My fraternity was too poor and/or lazy to have a listserv, and we rarely put any business in writing. We were complete dicks but we actually didn't talk this way to each other even during meetings. Last I can remember was some scolding (laced with profanity) about being too nice to pledges. I am quite certain the chick who wrote that email is on the butch side.

I think that this is awesome. Where I went to college there were definitely no fun sororities that we didn't want to hang out with. When the social chair my senior year to improve my fraternities stock by only planning parties with the fun houses he made a point to tell everyone to be friendly and talk to the girls and not be weird.
