The show really is good. I don't like whoever does the voice for Iron Man, and they made Hawkeye look like some sort of elf, but its got really good plots and a very nice overall story arc. If they can keep this up with season 2, then it'll be in my top 5 for sure.

I read on Wikipedia that the show is in hiatus? Are they just drawing the next episodes? I'm overall not a fan of the Marvel-verse in general, with a few exceptions (X-Men, Iron Man, Spiderman). To me it seems like half of the Avengers' victories in the TV series are based off pure luck. None of them is really a must-watch character, such underdeveloped personalities. The Hulk-Thor banter was great for the few seconds it lasted, though.

I have no idea about the hiatus. At the end of S1 they introduced
    Skrulls
so I figured they'd be hard at work on S2 already. Yeah, none of the individual characters are that interesting, and the fights can be a bit weak, but its aimed at kids and can't really show too much violence. For what it is, I think its pretty damn good.

The newest Avengers cartoons are pretty good, I like how the stories from episode to episode tie to each other and eventually lead to a bigger story. Art-wise, I still hate the kiddish style. I want the old XMen or SpiderMan or the Noir style of Batman back. Marvel animated movies did it well with the Ultimate Avengers animated film but these new ones just sucks. Like the Teen Titans reminded me too much of Saturday cartoon like Freakazoid or Animaniacs.

She was annoying in Iron Man 2. I feel if you're going to do the stereotypical kick ass hot girl, at least make her more interesting than just cleavage. That's just lazy...

Though, I found the entire IM2 movie to be lazy writing anyway.

Teaser trailer for the Avengers has been shot and will appear in the Thor and Capt. America movies. Also:

Sounds impressive but I think having the Skrulls would be overkill.

i'm pissed they pulled filming from Detroit. Now it's in Cleveland. Went from bad to worse.

I think they do need an army that they can beat in masses so Skrulls sounds good. The CGI for the Skrulls better be goddamn good though, makes me wonder if SuperSkrull would be in the movie though? He's mainly an FF4 villain so it'll be interesting if he mistake Capt. America for Human Torch. [IMG]

Maybe they needed a total wasteland to film at in which case they found the perfect place.

Don't get me wrong. I think the Skrulls would make great villains but they seem more suited for a sequel as some have previously mentioned. It seems like it would be a challenge juggling the Avengers team as is without having to flesh out an entire race of interstellar aliens. But I am hopeful so long as the film is entertaining.

Key is to go see the movie w/o any expectations. That's what I do or else I would have probably burnt the theater after seeing Wolverine Origins.

True... but it goes against every ingrained instinct. You're dedicating a significant portion of your time and money following the life of a fictional person. When it makes it to the big screen, they had damn well better get it right.

Yeah, dude. I don't think we're the studio execs' number one priority.
