I thought I'd post this here after having checked the Shoe Care thread with no success. A few days ago a container of salad dressing's fall from the table was interrupted by the instep of my brown suede chukkas.

I immediately wiped off the excess and smothered the rest with cornstarch (per Mr Google). That seemed to help a bit but now that the shoe has dried there is slight discoloration.

Any tested remedies among you veterans?

    Thanks.

Never thought suede can be this sexy. Saw them at RMWilliams seasonal sales today and have to pick them up. The quality of suede is superior to any I currently own. Original plan was a pair of kangaroo dynaflex boots though.

Cross post but I thought it might be of interest.

A find from the recently opened NPS factory shop in Wollaston near Northampton. They offer the NPS and Solovair ranges and some very attractively priced outlet stock made for other brands. All made on site. I thought these suede monks were a little different and branded for 'Justin Deakin'. On their maiden voyage yesterday.
The sides of the soles seem to be bevelled in a way I haven't seen on leather soles before.
