it would really be a great show of charity and selflessness if this auction went for over $500.

Whusurdadi (and this is the first time I've realized how to promounce that username) wins with a generous bid of $400. Watch for a PM.

Tomorrow, we will auction one of Rick Kansas City's own brand suits, half canvassed suits retailing for $495.

Our tenth auction is for a half canvassed suit from the Rick’s Kansas City store. A labor of love, proprietor Jeff Covitz was in the film industry before he came home to take over the reins at the store that his father founded in 1978. Before that, his grandfather had a tailoring shop in the Brookside neighborhood of Kansas City.

I talked to Jeff about his store, and he tells me that in addition to a lot of overstock, he brings in a lot of his own brand suits with a modern but not aggressive cut, at a price that reflects on the quality but on the confidence of the customer who doesn’t care about a brand name – reminds me of the original Filene’s Basement and even Barneys, an upstart bringing a little chutzpah to the local retail scene.

    Retail price of $795
    100% Wool
    SuperFine 150's Australian Wool
    Half Canvas Construction
    Soft Italian Shoulder, lightly padded
    Slim and trim cut
    High Armhole
    Flat Front Trousers
    Pick Stitch Edging

    Check them out for yourself:

Here is a chance to sample their goods if you haven’t already, and get a second suit if you already have one.
Bidding starts at $150 selling currently for $449 for a staple half canvassed navy, charcoal, grey, or khaki or black. Let’s get the bidding started. Please post your bids here, in increments of $10 or more, or PM me to place an anonymous bid for you. This auction will actually end tonight at 12 a.m. EST, 9 p.m. PST.

    Good luck to all.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

    Hey Fok,

So how do we go about doing this in terms of the donation, etc? Also verifying the actual winner?

Please advise, and congrats on the success of the auction thus far!

    Cheers,

    Ben
