I thought their sportscoats are unpadded? I had the same problem with their suits too, where I was getting some shoulder divots from the padding. I just ordered the unpadded sportscoat, so I'll see if that solves the problem!

edit: oops, I noticed you meant suits. I agree, would be nice to have the option for suits too!

I'm late to the ironing party, but I'll add that my S&M pinpoint shirts are a breeze to iron, and any lightweight broadcloths I've bought are also no problem. The only shirt that was harder to iron was one "premium poplin" shirt that I bought OTR which was made of somewhat thicker material.

How do you guys feel about a couple of corduroy sportcoat options for fall? Navy and Classic Tan in particular. Wide Lapels, Patch pocket. No shoulder pad?

Or Moleskin? The cord is so much richer than the moleskin. Both are from the British Mill Brisbane Moss.

I'd have to see how the cord jackets made up, but never have really been into them.

I'd love moleskin though. Navy? Moss? Maybe brown? Not many places do these well at a reasonable price.

Could be interesting. Patch pockets & unstructured would be positive.

Quote:Not a huge corduroy fan, despite its warmth and depth/richness of its texture. Moleskin, perhaps, especially if it was available as an option for trousers.

Run some of that Brisbane Cord for fall also as a trouser.

FWIW I'm definitely interested in the moleskin trousers. I don't think I'd buy the corduroy or moleskin sport coats, though. I'm sure they would turn out great, but I don't think I would get enough wear to justify a purchase.

We're going to be running some Abraham Moon Tweed Trousers for fall. We already have an idea of the colours, but I thought I would put this up for any feedback before we go ahead.

    Let me know your thoughts.

They greys kind of all blend together to the eye. I would suggest the lightest one.

    11 & 15 are slam dunks.

I would buy 26, 13, 15, and 8 now as a pre-order. Especially 26 and 15 since I whiffed on the green and tan flannels this past season.

31, 6 for staples. I'd love the 11 and 26 though, some serious tones in those, just fantastic!

Between these and the moleskin trousers you will fill some of the last trouser gaps I have. Can't wait!

Any preview of the moleskins? Maybe a brown or grey?

Will the fabrics you choose be OTR only?

How much more are MTM trousers (in these or other available fabrics)?

I'm going to try to keep some for MTM. These will likely be $225 CAD in MTM. $168 CAD OTR.
