Iron when the cloth is damp, or spay with a water bottle. Very easy to iron. Trying to iron dry and thinking the steam in the iron is sufficient is useless. Shouldn't take more than 3-4 minutes to iron properly. Less when you get the hang of it.

Or, stick to twill weaves. these tend to be the most naturally wrinkle resistant and iron out easier.

these pics are fairly accurate if your monitor settings are calibrated. I'll try to get a daylight pic when I have the chance.

I think the best-ironing fabric I have is the dress chambray from a year or two ago? Wears well, doesn't wrinkle too much through the day and takes only a minute to press.

Any chance of those making a return? I would like some different shades in my closet.

The dark navy and olive linen/cotton will be coming in OTR as popovers. Some of the Chambrays will be coming OTR. A few are MTM only.

Rick doesn't want to yield on this one, unfortunately. It's the only thing that prevents me from buying more (or going custom if non-iron was offered via MTM).

    Hopefully in time he'll relent!

Well maybe I need to get a custom order going in that case. I'm going to PM you again about fit if that's ok.

Not that I don't want to add some. It's actually very difficult. A lot of non-iron cloth is made on demand for OTR companies and in large quantity and there isn't much left in terms of stock available. We still purchase small stocks lots of available cloth. Thomas Mason just recently rolled out Non-Iron cloth about a year ago, we are looking into bringing a small range in the next few months.

Any of you guys interested in seeing us roll out a sportcoat near identical to this one? I have the A. Moon fabrics and was looking at doing this exact jacket and stumbled across this on NMWA.

We can do this in half canvas for $399 CAD. The NMWA one goes for $1495 USD.

Only, we were thinking of doing it in a triple patch pocket. Thoughts?

Ummm yes please take my money now.

And yes to triple patch pockets.

Thanks for keeping an eye on picking up fabrics like this, I buy stuff from NMWA but am not the kind of guy who was spend over $1K on a jacket.

    Let's do it!

For MTM on the linen and cotton/linen shirts, is there shrinkage (or lack thereof) that we will need to account for?

In mtm. In te notes ask for the fabric to be washed/dried before cutting. That will remove most of the shrinkage.

Won't have any available for a couple of months at least, but I plan to keep at least 4-5 lengths for MTM.

If you can do slightly wider lapels than the current sport coats, say around 4" and I'm in!
