since y'all are discussing cappelli.. i picked these up last week when i was in naples.
most were ordered last year october but i wasn't able to return until last week.
all are wool except for the rightmost two.
the leftmost one is a very fine lightweight wool houndstooth for summer.

I will take all the wools, PMing my address, kthxbai.

What about wearing those in spring/summer?
I will do so, but I want to know if that is considered entirely insane.

I have two of those ties (H&B for Hardy Amies or some other British retailer IIRC) and while the wool is very fine, I wouldn't wear them after fall/winter. Not quite insane but a woolen tie, no matter how fine, shouldn't be worn in spring/summer.

i disagree, as there are some woolen patterns and weights woven specifically for that purpose.

I'm really starting to like these solid wool ties. Must buy some. Where do you get Loro Piana ties?

at the LP store in San Francisco

    they're actually a cashmere/wool blend

btw, the glenplaid LB tie is the one worn by Matteo Marzotto in this picture (and one I have been searching for since first seeing it)

Not sure if these qualify as soporific. Brooks Brothers stripes in a slim cut.

NorCal, I love your wool and cashmere ties - all of them. They have given me inspiration for the line of cashmere/silk ties that I am working on. Mildly Consumptive, Your striped ties are very nice but except for the middle one they look quite cheerful. I would wear the first and third on a beautiful late spring or early summer day. You know the type without a cloud in the sky - and no serious business meetings on the horizon.

You must be thinking of Norcal's wool and cashmere grenadines posted further up the thread.

I'll be wearing the BB stripes with everything from fall through spring, and probably summer, including tweed jackets and suits, same as my recent Hober stripe:

You are correct, post #108 - sorry for the error, I have edited the post. Actually, this is one of the best threads that I have seen - lots of nice ties. Although some gentlemen are slipping in some cheerful ties....

Today I was working on a Macclesfield Madder print that will be in 6 colors on "50 oz" silk. It will be available as a completely bespoke tie which is very hard to find with madders. We are almost caught up with our backlog and will start having new silks every month again.

Some more from me, not the best pics, but I was reorganizing my tie drawers and used that opportunity to take some pics.
