SOLD. I am selling a new without tags hickey --the younger, more tailored line by Hickey Freeman-- tuxedo in men’s 36R. The suit is made of cashmere and wool. It was originally purchased for my wedding, but we decided to make the event more casual, so I never had a chance to wear it. I am looking for $275, and that includes CONUS shipping. It was originally purchased for $599 on Gilt, and retails for +$1.2k.

To give perspective on size, I am the model in these shots. I am 5’11”, 165lbs, and have 34” arms.
    The measurements are as follows:

    Jacket:
    + Chest: 38”
    + Jacket length: 30.5”
    + Center vent

    Pants:
    + 31” waist
    + 32” inseam
    + Flat front

Does the jacket have any vents? Thank you.

Yes, the jacket has a modern center vent. My apologies for not taking photos from the back.

What is the jacket construction? Fused or partially-canvassed? Has it been altered at all?

Great questions. I am not very good at figuring out the entire partially-canvassed versus fused issue. To me, it feels as though there is an inner layer, so I tend to believe that it is partially-canvassed. Further, most threads on this issue tend to link the hickey line with being partially-canvassed.

As for if any alterations were made to the suit, there were minor alterations that will actually work to your favor if you are a typical 36 Regular. Namely, hickey is notorious for shorter sleeve lengths when compared to their Hickey Freeman line. The sleeves have been let out slightly; again, I am the model in these photos, and I have a 34" arm. Next, the pants have been hemmed at the bottom to be approximately 32.25" long.

Again, though, this tuxedo had minor alterations, but was never worn.

Also interested in the trouser rise, and how much fabric is available in the waist of the trousers to let the waist out.
