Think the winner of Germany vs Greece will win the tournament. Probably Germany but even if its Greece I think they will get through the Semi at least.

A good 10 or 12 at least. Are you suggesting they didnt dominate for 75 mins?

Your answering his point by making a completely different argument. He is saying how lackluster the Portugese looked against a defense as dismal as NED - not that the Portugese were outplayed by NED.

Chances dont necessarily produce goals. Teams can dominate and win 1-0 or even lose. I dont believe they were lackluster at all. They were sharp, decisive, and the movement was excellent. The defending was poor, but its in large part because of the excellent passing by Portugal. In fact, apart from the Spanish destruction of Ireland, this was the finest football of the tournament.

Also, Portugal had 3 off the post and Steklenberg made 2 point blank saves that were sure goals, a Ronaldo header and that tap in by Nani. If Portugal turned those in and the score was 5-1 nobody would call them lackluster.

I do agree, though, that Portugal really needed that third to close down the match, it didnt come, but shouldnt diminish an excellent display.

Holland was under par and the Portuguese midfield was excellent especially Moutinho..

Portugal was a far better team in every department ..

It didn't help Holland had an uber offensive team allowing Portugal to run riot...

Croats doing well to keep Spain at bay, but if they don't hold the ball it'll be a one sided scoreline. Spain's blue kits are terrible, why are they sky blue?

Croatia's going to be in a world of hurt come half time, they're players are going to be run ragged chasing down passes

Bad game, bad referee. Spain looked really weak, expected a lot more.

I take it you're a Spanish fan? There were a few questionable non-calls, but he kept the game pretty well controlled. Was a good game for Croatia, they're unlucky not to have gotten at least a point out of this (that was one of the saddest goals to have killed their chances). Croatia's defense was impeccable and they had a few nice attacks

Upside of it is, with Spain topping the group, France should be taking on Italy (assuming France wins) which gives them a better chance of survival

They can be taken on when they play like that..

Penalty call for Croatia and goal off-side..

    They're lucky to be there.
