Dear lord what a finish in Málaga/Dortmund. Just when I was willing to bet that 3 spanish teams would be through to the semis.

One of the most insane endings to a match I've ever seen.

    So glad Dortmund advanced!
I respect defensive playstyles and Malagas defense paired with a phenomenal keeper executed it very well, but it is just so much more entertaining to see a team like Dortmund play offensive football instead of teams which prefer to destroy the opponent sides game.

Tomorrow I hope Bayern will advance.
Not decided on the second match. I have kind of grown tired of Barca, especially since they don't play as perfectly as they used to, on the other hand I can't cheer for a club like PSG.

Big fan of dortmund since old glory days so happy they got through, but wasnt their best performance. Also one goal each was offside so not the best refereeing either.

Forgot to mention how happy I am that Abidal is back, a true role model.
Hope he stays healthy and that he can continue his career.

Opted to watch the Dortmund Malaga match. While I'm kinda bummed for Malaga, I'd rather see Dortmund go through.

Dortmund - Malaga was indeed amazing. 2 offsides, at least they offset eachother.

    The better side went thru.

Fucking Ronaldo can't stop scoring. It looked routine, but the swing on the ball for his second goal was just sublime. Credit Galatassary, they made a 2nd leg of it.

Uproar throughout South America that UEFA was pitted against having 3 Spanish teams in the semis. Massive calls that last the questioned Dortmund goal should never have counted.

    This.

And why would S America care about UEFA, is there some racialist kinship going on here?

There were 3 english teams a few years ago. This smells like S American whining to me.

    Ha, go Dortmund and Bayern!

Malaga's sheik owner called the result "racist". I think that says all.

Do Brits refer to time added as extra time? I have always called it "injury time" or "time added" with the term "extra time" being the 30 minute overtime period.

Comment on the recently finished matches below.

On another note, congrats to Bayern they were clearly the better of Juve in both matches. Wow, looked pretty dodgy for Barca there for a while.

So we could see an all La Liga semi and an all Bundesliga semi or a one country final. I would prefer a Spanish semi on one side and German on the other so the final is guaranteed to be more international if you will.

Whelp. Count on a toothless Barcelona team to call on Messi when their bacon is on the line.

PSG got them, and then "oh! time for Messi to suit up and sub on."

Schweinsteiger is amazing. The amount of effort he puts in attack and defense is essential to bayern. He was everywhere in the game yesterday.
