it was dangerous play, though seemed like the intent wasn't there...

Nope - Higuaín didn't do anything in that game except cross in the winning goal. :bigstar:

EDIT: Obvious cross to the far post, Shah. Had a similar one a few minutes before that no one broke on.

That wasn't a fucking red. Fucking BS. I want some Anders Frisk action on this motherfucker.

    From Soccernet:

Mourinho stops quickly to say to ITV: "Independent of the decision, the best team lost. We didn't deserve to win."

Don't care about the circumstance in which they won, just happy that Real Madrid won (and I'm not even a Real Madrid fan).

We were clearly watching different games then. Nani was following the flight of the ball. Not once did he look in the direction Arbeloa was coming from. Sure, it was high and dangerous but there was absolutely no intent.

^agreed, he had no idea where arbeloa was from the looks of it

higuain's shot was so bad that it just looked like a cross lol

modric changed the game. but without the red one wonders if he would have even come on let alone have the space to do all the work little folks do in the middle

Oh well. C'est la vie. Time to take out our frustration on Chelski.

Without the ridiculous red, United would have won I believe. They cut out every passing lane and defended as a unit. However, Lopez was a wall

Howard Webb is in charge of that game. Anything but a ManU win would be a shocker.

This is the same ref who gave John Terry the red card last year in the Champions League semi final at the Camp Nou for a slight knee in the back.

    Ha ha... yup

It wasn't a penalty though. It was a definitely a yellow.

Hard to swallow, I wanted to see Madrid go thru but I really don't know if they could have sans the Nani sending off. At the very least they could have scored a goal and then who knows in extra time.

Anyway, it was a pretty even tie, although United were the more dangerous side early on tonight.

have to think again, would Nani have gone in so high if there was no chance of a Real Madrid player getting close... no he would've let it bounce of brought it down low. He knew there would be a challenge and he took a risk hoping to get the ball and avoid the player, it didn't work out for him.

Yes. No need to immediately corral that ball if you're alone. Roy Keane in commentating immediately sided w/ the "right call" crowd. It's just dangerous play, period.

Also, Luka Modric has, in five minutes of going on, gone from being a complete flop this season to the best 30 million spent since CR7 himself. Funny.
