So I just bought a $599 Hickey Freeman suit. Should I return it?

It's a Lindsey and I just found out that it's not a mainline suit.

Can a better deal be found? I need one soon and can't afford to wait months for a great sale

I would say no, for the value. I bought a Lindsey for 450$ and returned it about a month ago because for that price point, i would wait for something like the Addison or the any other mainline to go on sale from Hickey Freeman.

*sorry* i meant "Yes, you should return it." *sorry*

What you need to do is lurk more.

+1...lol. Stop being a brand-whore and buying suits because of the name on the tag without knowing anything about them.

OP: The more important question is, "How does it fit?" Post pictures of yourself wearing it. If it fits well, it may be worth keeping. I don't think that I'd pay that much for it though.

It actually fits quite well but I'm not sure what to do.

I could go to mysuit ny or I could keep trying to find a deal.

I'm a 44R and the deal sites sell out quick

the price is not the most important consideration - if it fits well and you like it - those are the first two things you have to consider - then worry about the price tag and whether you think it's worth it.

As others have already pointed out, this is the correct answer.

I can get you a fully canvassed golden fleece suit for $499; I think you overpaid by a little imo.

I loved the fit and feel until I started hearing I might have overpaid

What level is this suit on? Is it better than a typical Macy's suit

Yes.

Also, I love Hugo Boss suits. They fit extraordinarily well. And their construction is crap, so yeah, avoid them, and this is coming from the only person that regularly wears Boss on this forum (though almost everything was pre-SF).

I second everybody who said that if it fits well, keep it. Is it at least half-canvassed? My one HF suit is fully canvassed and is great, though needing alterations off the rack. No idea what model it is.
