Actually C&J has many more models to offer than AS and if you ask me they make quite a few really nice boots and they have some pretty nice cordovan shoes and boots.

Agreed, as nice as AS and Crockett & Jones are I found I much prefer EG, G&G, and St Crispins.

Sometimes it requires some patience with EG and it appears it may require more now than ever before.

Always best to get them this way when you can. Save the MTO for the ones you can't do without or you want real bad that never appear anywhere when you absolutely have too. Because at least for now and anywhere in the near future EG GMTOs just don't appear to be possible.

Once you start buying those shoes its hard to go backwards even if you previously thought AS was just fine

I believe most were pre orders

    Fun to speculate....
Whatever brand it is has to have a robust MTO program as I believe SKOAKs bread and butter is MTO not RTW

I think Rozsnayi, Buday, Materna or Maftei would be great makers for their product portfolio.

Should Skoak continues to work with EG, of course.

Then AS could be a good alternative IMO.

Interesting, though they seem to be mostly ~10% discount, other than the odd stock (Cardiff and Haweswater). Maybe EG changed their pricing again? Who knows...

Actually, it's RTW, MTOs we do mostly with the high level brands, but Carmina is still our best selling brand and we don't do a lot of MTOs since Carmina raised their MTO surcharge from 25% to 50% a couple of years back.
