Haha I do watch my share of proper football as well, Navy Crup sounds good though. How does the Chamois look?

I think double leather would be awesome on that boot. I suspect others are more into some form of rubber sole, though. If that's the majority vote, I'll decide then whether I'm in.

I've got some other shoe interests to pursue before Galways, but I think cloud and black scotch grain would be pretty fantastic.

How come nobody here is interested in Nevis or Halifax MTO?

How about Edwardian upper with an Almond (or darker... dark oak?) shaft, flat welt, H/A/F (not sure if they still do this) or double leather sole

I'm actually curious how the above combination would work with a maple grain shaft but that might be too light for most.

Thanks for the compliment JK but aportnoy still holds that EG title but I appreciate the recognition!

Now this is still something I would definitely go into. Go 49ers across the pond!

I'd take the Nevis over the Halifax if this gains momentum.

If this is the Jumper boot with dark cognac shell that I'm a part of, I'm a bit disappointed. As the last update given a few weeks ago said it was targeted for end of October completion, I would expect a delay due to shortage of shell to have been noted much earlier in the process and not a week prior to the targeted completion.

It is what it is, I suppose.

let's keep this galway talk going, i've been thinking about scratching that itch for a while now...

cloud and black suede sounds pretty on point to me, leaves. i prefer suede but if scotch grain got a lot of momentum i could prollllly swing that way too..

just to double check, cloud is a bit lighter than slate, yes? i actually posted comparison pics of the two in the EG thread yesterday but tbh i could barely notice a difference

Hey Leaves: Didnt they tell you when you were at the carmina factory that the Burgundy chukka would be delayed, not the jumper boot?

I am disappointed too, but if Horween can't provide Shell as promised, there is not much Carmina can do about it unfortunately.

I was told the Dark Cognac Shell Jumper was delayed a few weeks but they did not tell me it was because of Shell shortage.

Burgundy and Edwardian seem to match well. :slayer:

I will have to wear them every Sunday/Monday/Thursday for football season.

However I have a question, I have a pair of MTO's coming in and once I lock down the size I will want to hop into this or another MTO. Can we wait till delivery comes?

So we're actually doing a 49ers Galway GMTO? Oh my... :)

You guys want the vamp in Edwardian and the top in red suede or what are you aiming for?

So much easier making this pitch with Alex and Colin running the team the past few years versus Tim Rattay and Ken Dorsey...

I'm thinking having the vamp in Edwardian but the top in a dark burgundy grain leather. I don't know if Rosewood works?

Since the 49ers are the Wine and Cheese crowd (which is coincidentally red and gold color also) I would even be in to making it a dressier boot like the Nevis.
