It fits similar to the 202 last but features a slight square toe, looks great with a split-toe.

That particular upper seems to be in Navy Aniline Calf. It's a slightly lighter shade than Navy Utah and lacks the texture.

It's a rich, very dark brown color that is more similar to espresso calf than Dark Oak.

You were talking about the Gg Thorpe which isn't a chukka which probably made it a little confusing. I'd say that's a split toe boot.

Dark Oak can be a different colour depending how the light hits it.

Another pair of Dover on 606 / DOAK:

This is the best rendition of dark oak I've ever seen.

I think DOAK ranges from 'awesome' to 'holy shit awesome' based on how the burnishing has been done. Best DOAK's IMO are those with a very darkened toe cap :)

Agreed. Mine are still as EG finished them and I would love to get that dark toe going, but I'm still too chicken. Soon. I think I need more practice, first.

Sorry my bad. Let me reiterate, this is solely an idea for the chukka boot I had for Enzo. Nothing to do with the current GG Thorpe that is cooking....

Do it. Black polish is fine; there's not enough dye there really darken the shoe. The polish comes off easily anyway with cleaner. I've done it many-a-times and my results aren't too bad:

Note the midnight Shannons were even polished with black paste all over. You can see that it a light coat doesn't hurt the original color.

Edward Green Brandy Willow Calf Pre-Order

This will be a very limited run, we only have enough Brandy Willow to make up 10 pairs in total and some of these are already spoken for for various Single MTO projects. So we're looking at a small run of 6-8 pairs. First come, first serve! Please e-mail sales@skoaktiebolaget.se to sign up. If you wish to book a slot for a single MTO Brandy Willow, you also need to contact us ASAP, we will only allow a maximum of 4 Brandy Willow MTOs. Thanks!

Willow Calf is original Ilcea leather (from the tannery in Turin). This tannery has shut down now but the Ilcea name has been bought out by someone else. It’s ilcea who made the Heather Gorse/Zug. Edward Green will not buy Willow Grain again, according to my source at EG. The Dover was one of the models that were made up in Willow originally (do not know how long ago this was though).

The make up will be this:

    • Model: Edward Green Dover
    • Color: Brandy Willow Calf
    • Last: 202 last - E fitting (might be an opening for 2-3 pairs in other widths)
    • Sole: H/A (double leather sole)
    • Price ex VAT, outside the EU: 7280 SEK
    • Price incl. VAT, within EU: 9100 SEK
    • EG trees: 720 SEK / 900 inc. VAT
    • Deposit: 25% pre-order deposit, 75% before delivery

This is a Brandy Willow Dover on the 606:

Please note that all the Brown Willow (5 pairs) have been spoken for. Thanks to @tifosi and the other members who pushed us to do a GMTO for this.
