    @schmallo15 , I'm in for a Calway like you suggest- suede shaft + calf upper, both brown or rosewood is fine with me.

    I would be interested in the navy combo depending on final specs. Have a preference for 316 last and the indigo suede.

    Just a clarification on the team navy count... I'd actually have a strong preference for what @shmallo15 has suggested, the brown grain with brown shaft. I think I'd have to allocate my funds towards something along those lines.

    I prefer comfort of course! [IMG]

    The simpson last does fit nice without pinching. I prefer snug without the pinch or discomfort. Though I have a pair of u last chukkas that fit me a bit more tailored than the simpson last and feel great. Surprisingly, the chukkas are also a size 10us or 9uk/43. Most of my shoes are size 10.5us or 9.5UK/43.5 with the exception of some Alden loafers that are 10us because I wear casually WITHOUT SOCKS [IMG].

    I did end up ordering the pebbled grain cs derby in a 10us/9UK (which is on the 234 last) to see if it works. If the gmto for the Norte calf navy/suede shaft cs field boots kicks off, I'll definitely order a 9UK. I know I said a lot but I hope it helps in some way. Feel free to pm me if you have more questions or anything.

    I'm also planning on keeping the same specs as the last field boot gmto for this run. So same 316 last and dainite sole.

    Alright, so @Beav is out on navy but we still have 4 if @evangel21 is in.

    Thank you for your advice, gents! I will take the sizing discussion to PMs so we can free up the forum for GMTO discussions (far more important!)

    I'd be in too, if the leather part can be Norte patina. Preferably in Grain. I recalled an earlier field boot/calway gmto in Grain patina.

    I counted more than this -
    @deez shoes
    @WilYa
    @Pyrrho
    @evangel21
    @supern0va

    Not sure if @phsiao08 is in too.

    Cs derby grain 234last arrived (thanks @Skoaktiebolaget!). I will update later but here's a pic side by side of the shoe in a size 9UK next to a 9.5UK carmina simpson last shoe

    Cool. Sounds like we've got 3 for the (smooth calf Dark Oak upper, mink suede shaft) makeup. With respect to the other specs, I'm thinking:

    Last: 316 or 333 (fine with 316 but would prefer 333)
    Upper: smooth dark oak calf
    Shaft: mink suede
    Hardware: Same as previous makeup - 4 brass eyelets, 4 brass hooks
    Sole: Dainite
    Patina: Heel and Toe burnishing

    Interested so far are:

    @schmallo15
    @Beav
    @mbaltazar

    And it will generally look like this:

    Would you consider non-grain calf too? I think I'd be okay with grain too but would like to see how flexible people are on that

    @shmallo15, I haven't kept up with the difference between the two lasts... now do the 316 ans 333 differ? I'd prefer a last that isn't too narrow, like a carmina Simpson last.

    Per the SkoAB website:

    316 - almond shaped classic last
    333 - round classic last

    316:

    333:

    And just to confirm, I'm wanting to do a smooth calf rather than grain upper. Not sure if that's a deal breaker for you

    Ah gotcha... yeah I'm good with either but I think I'd like 316. And yes, I like the smooth calf idea. Hopefully we can get others on board with this.

    I'm ok with non-grain upper. Shall we go for navy suede shaft?
    Personally, I need to stick to 316 last.

    Last: 316
    Upper: smooth/grain dark norte patina calf
    Shaft: navy suede
    Hardware: Same as previous makeup - 4 brass eyelets, 4 brass hooks
    Sole: Dainite/Tomir rubber

    I don't think we will be limited by the number of participants since more are expected to join once the page is online.

    I'm in for the makeup. As to the last, I'd prefer the slightly sleeker 316 over 333, for the boot being I think it looks way better.

    I was thinking the same thing re: 316 vs 333, but this isn't a deal breaker for me.

    Updated specs and interest list for the Dark Oak/Mink Suede Calway (EG Galway photo used as reference only):

    [IMG]

    Last: 316
    Upper: smooth dark oak calf (I believe the Santos equivalent is oak calf but will need to rely on @Leaves to confirm)
    Shaft: mink suede
    Hardware: Same as previous makeup - 4 brass eyelets, 4 brass hooks
    Sole: Dainite
    Patina: Heel and Toe burnishing

    Interested so far are:

    1. @schmallo15
    2. @Beav
    3. @mbaltazar
    4. @joiji

    If you're interested, please copy/paste and add your name. We need 8 or more for the go-ahead.
