And yes, we had issues with audio play ads for a bit. Something just got through the filter, but it should be fixed now. If you guys see anything like that again, don't hesitate to report it to me.

Probably in the minority, but I hate that sticky header shit. I'd rather scroll up, rather than have the top of my screen blocked off by something I'm not constantly using.

Probably, but we'll see. Our little header will actually be quite narrow, so it will hopefully be very useful without annoying you and other members and readers by blocking off too much real estate.

We've gotten a lot better at our jobs in the last half decade or so (go figure), and we'll be monitoring the traffic and activity on the site. It's something that's found on most modern websites and forums, so it's something we felt needed to be done. Most people seem to like it who have seen it, and even expect it, but we will see.

What's with the Twitter and wonky formatting all over the place? I hope it's not just me.

Is the Allen-Edmonds advertisement dominating the front page of the forum for anyone else?

    It's really quite intrusive.

With the new layout, if I click on a thread I'm following, it takes me to the first unread post as exepcted; however, the new title/banner overlays it, so then I need to scroll out slightly.

I'm going to need a button on this bar for subscriptions rather than having it in a dropdown.

    Yeah, what is this shit?

That is literally my most clicked link on SF and now I have to go through a drop down to get there?

And if I click on the little icon with a # on it...where does it take me? Maybe to the posts or PMs that are generating that number?
No. It takes me to my user profile. Why would I ever want to go to my user profile on a regular basis?
If the link is showing a #, it should take me to the underlying posts/threads that make up that number, not to a tangentially related page.

Also +1 on the header. I don't like the floating header either.

Another nitpick: messages should not have a notifications icon next to it that says 0. 0 should just be blank.

I hear you. This has been the most frequent comment so far, and I'll relay this to the tech team once the dust has settled.

We couldn't get it looking right. There was invariably not enough contrast.

The real reason I don't like this new top bar:

If I browse at work, there is a big-ass banner at the top of my screen the entire time saying "STYLEFORUM!!!". Used to be that I could just scroll down a click or two and it at least wasn't clear what I was reading....
