I would like to make a site suggestion. Charge something meaningful but reasonable to most members, say $100 a year or so, and that will fix it so the damn auto-start videos don't happen when you're in a meeting.

Alternatively, if you do not have SF opened up on your computer during a meeting where auto-start videos on a mens fashion forum would be an issue, that would also solve this particular problem.

This is the type of moderation that is driving people from posting. Stitches strikes again!

Indeed, charging the entire membership $100 a year would certainly increase participation. 1000 apologies!

That is not what I suggested at all. This would of course be an optional membership designed to give a video free SF experience.

It would appear you have been misunderstood. How would this program help those who sign up for it to have a video free experience. Meaning, I have no idea how the software works.

Also, Fok is clearly the only one who can do that, I was mostly just messing with you, as I have not been around your parts of the forum in a while, and have missed the opportunity to jibber jabber with you.

I have it. Have not had a pop-up ad on SF since using it.

What's with the weird audio only spam ads coming through the front page of the site? I have never had this problem before and now all I can hear is some stupid bitch talking about donuts.

edit… nm… did not have settings correct. ugh that is insufferably annoying.

    1) Broke the rules of B&S that could land Styleforum in a bit of hassle. Got banned from B&S pending payment of a fine, which is bolded right in the B&S section.
    2) Decided that he didn't want to pay the $500 fine that is right on the page. If you want to sell, and make money, on B&S, you can read a page of rules.
    3) Decided that the rules didn't apply to him, and started another username ("Wade") in order to evade the fine and continue to use B&S.
    4) Note that he could have continued to use the rest of the forum, and not B&S, if he had decided he didn't want to pay the fine.
    5) Got caught. This doesn't usually happen right away, but chances are good it will happen.
    6) Told moderator that the reason he made multiple usernames was because the admin decision was stupid, and therefore, he decided that he needed to use another username in order to keep on using B&S.
    7) Bye bye.

    Lessons:
    1) Follow the rules of B&S. Maybe a dozen or so people have been banned from B&S in about 3-4 years. Which means that they are not that hard to read and follow. They are there to protect styleforum and sellers and buyers alike.
    2) If you break the rules, and get caught, you have 2 choices: a) Pay fine, move on with B&S afer reading the fucking rules. b) Don't pay fine, move on with other parts of the forum. Either is fine with us.
    3) Don't be a weasel who uses underhanded tactics.

I think that pretty much covers it. J and I really don't appreciate people doing shit like this.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Those should never occur. If they do, a screen shot, at least, is needed. It's actually better if you can click through, or otherwise get the destination URL, which will contain a campaign code, and that way, I can march in and demand it be addressed immediately!

    Cheers,

    Fok.
