1. Welcome to the new Styleforum!

We hope you’re as excited as we are to hang out in the new place. There are more new features that we’ll announce in the near future, but for now we hope you’ll enjoy the new site.

We are currently fine-tuning the forum for your browsing pleasure, so bear with any lingering dust as we work to make Styleforum even more awesome than it was.

Oh, and don’t forget to head over to the Styleforum Journal, because we’re giving away two pairs of Carmina shoes to celebrate our move!

Please address any questions about using the new forum to support@styleforum.net

Copied from the announcement for those who don't read them:

    New System, SITE OUTAGE TOMORROW

We are finally moving to the new system! So, the site will go down sometime around 6AM PDT and may be down for up to 24 hours. A maintenance message will be shown and site functions will be unavailable.

When we come back a lot of things will be different, and we will be ironing out wrinkles in the conversion process, so please explore all the new features, but remember to copy/paste any really long original work (articles, etc.) and back it up on your computer, just in case we need to revert anything. Not that I don't trust the new system, but I don't trust any new system until it's been beat on a while [IMG]

See you on the other side!

Good luck! I am sure more than a few people will get withdrawal symptoms. Try to get back up quickly...

If the site goes down at 6 AM, that means nobody will be able to start threads about the epic drunk texts I send tonight. [IMG]

I can confirm that our boy gives very good text.

    Looks nifty

is my avatar now disproportionately large?
I'd rather keep it at the size it was uploaded at than try to raise the resolution and make it grainy (but that's just a nitpick)

    looks good

    few easy bugs:

when you click username to write in your usename to log in, the "username" text goes away
but after you click away it returns and overlays what you wrote in

the side bar takes more than the forum on a phone

    looks good i like it

The signature bar is also wonky for some people. Some have too much space, some people's sigs are cut off. This warrants an immediate return to the old system.:foo:

quotes from the old system look off (see FLMM's sig)...but the new ones look fine? This should go away as soon as old content is pushed into obscurity by new posts.

Also it seems that "view first unread" has lost its place...so really quick everybody go click on the last page of your subscribed threads before people post in them :)
