    I like the idea of a team challenge. But I also imagine their might be potential for hurt feelings. But I also really like the idea of a team challenge.

    The participants would all need to be of comparable skill. Which means that there would need to be some pre-selection process. Something, I think, for fall. Perhaps independent of FC.

    I was thinking: let everyone who wants to enter register beforehand. Then, the teams are combined randomly. Might need more than one week, though....

    Dislike the random element in there, though that might be the only way to avoiding hurting someone's feelings.

    If folks are interested, I say we table this idea until fall. Then do something separate from the FC.

    Simple suit challenge with everyone in robo poses. Bespoke vs suitsupply vs corneliani vs benjamin vs formosa vs kent wang vs #insertname

    Just an experiment to see if it's all worth it

    That was indeed my reason for suggesting it. It's probably better to postpone this idea until we have more folks posting again, as you say.

    Perhaps the criterion should be X amount of fits in the Composite Thread? That should ensure a certain amount of parity.

    you mean you will exclude anyone from playing if they are not well represented in that thread? i think everyone should get a chance to play.

    also, some people posts fits less often than others, making that criterion a bit hard to judge. i mean, braddock for example only posts now and again, but his fits are awesome.

    I agree, everyone should be free to enter. Selecting teams randomly would be fairest, I think. And if perchance the level of two team members is very different, who knows, it may even lead to some useful coaching by the sharper dresser to the lesser god. Wishful thinking?

    Alright, in which case, perhaps three teams rather than a bunch? That should help reduce the role of chance.

    If you are going to do groups then people have to opt in and then you will need to tag people with numbers and run a sequence generator that groups like this

    http://www.random.org/sequences/

    But not really feeling a group challenge.

    oh, i was thinking groups of two, maybe 3, as many groups as needed to accommodate anyone who wants to play.

    also, i think i kinda want people to be able to choose their teammate. send a PM, call someone out in public, show up at their door irl, beg, borrow and steal, whatever you have to do. it will be like SF prom. it will be a disaster of crushed hopes with hurt feelings strewn everywhere, understandably so, but id still kinda wanna see it.

    This challenge brought out a lot of good things

    Stuff I wish I owned:

    Cleav’s suit;
    Claghorn’s jacket (perhaps my favorite shade of blue);
    in stiches’ shoes;
    EliodA’s shirt;
    Roycru’s, um, … whatever it is that Roycru’s got;
    Cleav’s hair …

    Cheers,

    Ac

    Hmmm, starting to sound complicated.... Perhaps it's not such a good idea after all?

    In the words of my idol, Charlie Sheen....WINNING!

    I wake up and everybody's already talking about what we are doing this week....squash that noise, bitches! This is my show.

    Ok, on a serious notes...thanks for the votes, people. I'm genuinely shocked that I won. For this week, I'm way too busy this week to organize a team challenge. I like the idea, but that will take a bit of work and not something I think we can pull off well in a week. I'll keep listening to ideas....I like the dot tie suggestion at the moment.
