Should I soak this raw denim jacket or not?

You're thinking of shrinkage, not indigo loss.

Heat shouldn't impact indigo loss in any noticeable way.

Looking back at all my old jeans (black and dark blue ones), I thought they lost the most color after being put in the dryer. Washing in hot water should still take out more color than washing in cold though.

If it is STF, I would soak it before wearing. If it is sanforized, I would not.

Don't put it in the dryer. It's bad for denim. Cone - who probably make that fabric - specifically advise against it.

Most Type 3s are Sanforized; I don't know about that grey, but I doubt it's STF. I wouldn't soak it; you get the full contrast between that initial crisp look, which will be more formal, then over months it will soften. Don't know why people will want to hurry the process? And without an initial soak, the wear will be distinctly better.

Basic, Mexican-made 557. Washed once. No initial soak:

Im currently wanting to buy a burberry raw denim jacket but it has the checkered wool lining inside.. any ideas on how to wash and care for it? Soak it like i would do raw jeans or dry cleaners? If anyone can help that would be great thanks.

Clothes legally have to come with care tags. Follow them.

Hey guys, I just bought the Levis standard trucker jacket (dark, raw denim)! the chest seems nice and snug but the sleeves feel real loose. I want a nice tight fit all around. Do you guys think I should shrink it? And what's the best way?
