Plaster. I absolutely love them in person.

I will be contrarian and say painted linen is better. I don't know about the comfort of linen, but it's OG MMM! And I think the paint on linen has a more painterly feel that will age better. Plaster does not equal paint.

Wish they'd reissue the OG painted suede though...

I've been planning on getting a suede Falcon T1, but this one keeps catching my eye. The suede on the Nonnative jacket looks gorgeous.

I don't know if you intend to wear the nonnative one closed, but when I tried it, I really disliked seeing the zipper exposed when the jacket is closed. I think it really breaks up the beauty of a suede jacket like that, which is why I didn't pick it up.

Thanks for the feedback on the GATs, guys! Was kind of leaning towards the linen ones, but now think I'll get the plasters.

^Callusing, I dig that NN jacket.

Dirty-ish plaster leather gats. Fwiw I think for the look you have in mind they should work better than the linen ones which would be more like slim jeans and geller stuff.

Just for fun, here's what the SS10 gats look like after 5 years of heavy wear:

I should retire them soon and store as memorabilia.

I love my OG painted GATs but the bottoms are almost worn through, I wore them to way too many concerts and music festivals. RIP :(

I ended up buying these white painted Margiela side zips on the strength of @notwithit, @Synthese, and @Fuuma.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback though!

Those are on my list. Kind of regret not kopping when they were on barneys warehouse

Gats worn in Masai Mara, dunno if I have a pic taken right before I threw them out but yours are in perfect condition. All the inside was ripped, the sole had holes and the whole upper was a creased, dirty mess. [IMG] [IMG]

And yet you're still wearing a blazer and pocket square. That's amazing.

I like that. Fabric looks textured. Is it seersucker (which I would be more than fine with... :hide:)?

Yeah its seersucker which is a big part of the appeal to me.

That shirt is awesome. It looks like a graphic design work on that picture, doesn't even look like a photo.

Guys, do you happen to have any more pictures of this colorway? Anyone owns them? I have futures in black (high) and red (lows), don't know if I should pick these up.
