I think that if worn with just busted down slim jeans and Docs or something, and worn essentially like a souvenir jacket, t could work. But yeah, pretty easy to cross over to either the "spoiled rich club kid" or "fashion dick" tropes.

well it's pleasant to look at, like other crazy patched up/patchworked garments. still, looks kinda cheap and definitely looks like some late 80s weirdugly busy design you'd find in a thrift store, not sure i'd want to drop rebuild money on that... can't really dislike it for some reason though.

What boots should I get this autumn/winter?

Red Wing mocs (in this colourway):

Story et Fall jodhpurs (in this colourway too):

They're very different, as you can see. My concern about the RW is that they might be too bulky? Never tried them on. As for the SeF, I'd say I only have a pair of pants (black skinny-ish jeans) that would go with them, the rest have a hem which is probably too wide.

There are lots of crazy pockets all over actually. Lots of cool details. I was leaning towards the shearling collar one too. Thanks guys. I've got limited funds left, debating between that jacket or some of the dries stuff I've seen at barneys.

Sometimes I feel though that dries is a bit too polished for me. It's very pretty and delicate but I'm still not out of the workwear hobo phase..

2 totally different boots for 2 totally different purposes. You would need to get both as they are not interchangeable.

I really like the length and the over the zipper detail on this, but if you're worried about rain-handling I'd definitely look into a coated one.

    e: decided against the jacket.
