Yeah that's the thing. Not a big commitment, but I'm getting tired of thinking "This is so cool! It will for sure sell to a Nebraska fan the second I throw it on ebay!" and then having to eat crow and sit on it for 6 months as it doesn't sell.

I guess I thought "crewnecks" were a big thing. I love the vintage ones I find for my local teams. Seems like NCAA state schools would have enough of a following.

It's a conundrum. You could sleep on it, then make a list of pros and cons and maybe go back to the store and see if there's something you hadn't considered. Some photos from other angles might help.

Mustard is a reach for a lot of people. Mustard makes me look like I have a liver disease.

Yeah, not a fan of the fit, but the fabric is amazing.

Not a fan of cotton biker jackets, but it does look nice. I'd pass, but it's up to you.

Thanks, at thatoneguy! That is news I can use, from a source I can trust. :fistbump:

Check out the official thrift/discount store bragging thread. It's the most highly-trafficked, and has sort of become a forum unto itself. It's also a better fit for you questions, and you'll receive more helpful replies.

Currently only able to find at retail + shipping, which seems like a little much for Vans. On the other hand, they seem to be sold out most places with no restocks anticipated.

Anything else I should be looking at, possibly something better? I'm not a fan of the EG x Vans mismatch thing.

only "a little much" for the thing you really want is a good deal — especially if it's pretty much sold out everywhere

Yeah, kinda the direction I'm leaning in right now.
Yep, with sizes going all the way up to 10.

Funny, I can get the quantity to go up to 12, but not the size.

    Possible alternative:

    pros:

    - stitched midsole
    - no Vans tag to snip off

    cons:

    - described as denim fabric, so they might not pair as well with denim
    - from Frank & Oak, so my immediate assumption is that they will be of utter garbage quality

Fun side note: Frank & Oak CP-a-likes

So I've been looking for a spring/fall jacket for quite a long time now, and I haven't had much luck. I'm also incredibly picky so that doesn't help. I was browsing Macy's site and came across this light jacket:

    http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/...15&CategoryID=3763&RVI=Browse_4#BVQAContainer

what do you think? I already have a couple of black jackets but none that I REALLY like. Should I get it? And what color? Black or Kettle?

    thanks!

Nah. Generally not a fan of the collar type, and it looks cheap. In that budget range, I like overshirts, bombers, and work jackets. I'm sure you can find something of the sort at gap, UO, H&M, the usual mall suspects.

I've been looking at H&M and GAP and they have nothing. I don't see how it looks any 'cheaper' than the stuff at H&M or Gap either (I have plenty of stuff from both stores).
