:( I actually already bought the slate blue one last night. Probably should have asked the forum first.

Though, I think it might look good with charcoal pants.

still weighing an other option (which I prefer, but may not ultimately work out), but wanted to get people's thoughts on this leather. uniform experiment, calf. a tad worried it may be too long, but it's the same length (allegedly) as this EG jacket and it's the smallest size they made.

im no leather expert, but tried on what i'm pretty sure was the blue jacket above, and it did feel really flimsy to me. completely different to the black calf i own

Am I just bored at work or is this pants plus shirt combo as sick as I think it is?

The black buttons kill that shirt :( Also don't think it goes with the bottom half, though the pants could work if it was styled with different shoes and a jacket or something.

Damn. Well, good to know it's probably a wave of fatigue colouring my opinion. Though I do like the black buttons on the shirt. I reckon you're right on the pants; if I do pick them up they'd need to be styled differently.

True fact: I saw a leather jacket today that was too small for me and thought of you, nice caramel color. I don't remember what it was, though

Anyways, seems like you've been after a leather for a bit and are worried about sizing - if it was me, I'd make it a "big" purchase and take a good look at a couple in person and make sure it's what I really want rather than trying to buy online. Leather quality is such a personal thing and can even vary jacket to jacket, that unless you're getting what you know is the real deal, it's definitely something that shopping around for pays off. Something like that I'd rather pay a bit more for once I found the right one than taking a risk buying online

That said, that Uniform Experiment one looks really nice if you're sure the measurements work out for you

unfortunately, buying in person isn't really going to be possible unless I take a trip to nyc or something, which probably isn't going to happen anytime soon. even the retails who sell schott, etc, likely don't stock 34s. I'm probably more confident on the sizing than I'm letting on. does 24.4" seem reasonable for someone my height?

if you happen to be back at that shop and get a second look at that caramel leather, let me know ;)

yeah...it looks beautiful in the photos. i just can't bring myself to pull the trigger on a $600 jacket w/o fit pics or secondary measurements :/

edit: can't get this thing outta my head. emailed the seller to see if the length includes the collar as based on past experiences, I suspect it may. also might try out the RRL knowles jacket. a little expensive and seems to fit somewhat boxy, but the place I'd get it from accepts returns, so might as well try.

I love Aspesi and have quite a bit myself but I don't think it's ever worth retail.
