Golden Bear for Frank & Oak varsity jacket in charcoal: https://www.frankandoak.com/product/22482#!shopid=shop

I already have it in the crate I ordered from them, but I'm on the fence about keeping it. Does anyone know if Golden Bear has an all-black (rather than charcoal) varsity out? Or if they have had one in the past?

Golden bear supplies mostly sports jackets and do custom orders for retailers. So there may have been an all black version. Check unionmade they carry golden bear.

RRL Olive officer? Not sure if it's the same fabric as last fall but about 11oz selvedge, quite nice. Looser top block, easy to taper and can be worn both casually and dressed up

Thank you so much @stevent and @ManofKent for the pointers. I am less looking for a traditional chino or fatigue cut and more for something - for the lack of better words - sporty/ rugged (?). Like a climbing pant, fun cargo, etc.

So the Garbstore is very, very nice. Unfortunately, it looks (at that site) sold out in my size. Also, I already have two ripstop fatigues in olive with my orSlow looking dangerously close to the Garbstore, so I was going for a deeper/ darker olive and a tad different cut as described above.

Thanks, gents. Really appreciate you taking the time for your suggestions!

    I swear I don't work for Garbstore :) but these might be a possibility - I've got a previous season's in grey and they're a nice piece:

Fear of God is poorly made derivative stuff.

I've yet to visit the Notting Hill store but bought a lot on-line. It's not that popular on here, but I think that's mainly the lack of US stockists, Bodega is the only one that springs to mind. IMO it works well with EG et. al. and the construction is as good as most, with mainly Japanese fabrics sewn on vintage machines (although the sewing is largely done in China if that bothers you).

I dont mean to oppose your comment (as im new here) have you dealt with their products? As i've heard polarising comments on their quality.

I do agree it is quite derivative of Rick Owens.

Are their any other good quality GREY bombers that you could recommend?

Thanks very much for your input.

I'm not keen. Oddly we seem to have had a lot of new posters asking about the brand recently...

Yeah i understand people are curious, as it is up and coming in itself, and people dont want to drop 1000+ on jacket if its not worth the price, their cuts are something else though as i have personally tried the t-shirts on in Harvey Nichols.

The Kanye/Hypebeast effect. Agenda was recently too right? I dunno. Sorry, no idea about gray MA-1's.

If you're just looking for a grey MA1, there are about a billion brands that make them in a billion different styles. It just takes time to search. If you're looking for that particular ruching effect, Y-Project makes a similar piece, as does Byungmun Seo (shown here: http://www.styleforum.net/t/416374/guest-nation-south-korea-at-pitti-uomo-86/0_100). I know nothing at all about "Fear of God," but that piece looks exactly like a Rick MA-1 with scrunched sleeves. He did a weird white/black overlay MA-1 last year, so maybe you'd like that. Looked like this:
