in this case it would also explain why the MSRP on the jackets are down by like 1/2 compared to last F/W

a lot of info online is long-gone but managed to find some from SS13:

100% lamb leather detail, 60% cotton 40% nylon body, lining 100% rayon. retail almost $3k.

63% cotton 37% polyurethane body, lining 100% rayon. retail 1800 GBP.

70% cotton 30% nylon body, lining 100% rayon. retail about $1.8k.

&& anecdotally i remember c4est mentioning offhand that the rug jacket (when he saw it at Barney's) was somewhere between $2-3k?

i'm only taking a guess at any quality changes but it doesn't make much sense to me why a label would cut their prices in half while maintaining similar overall quality.

yeah i can see your point. maybe it just wasn't financially viable? the pieces would cost nowhere near that to produce, so maybe its just a cut it in the markup? either way, i'm 100% happy with my jacket, and for the record its got some cotton in it =]

yeah those past prices were the main reason I never copped a jacket by them - total rip. hopefully quality doesn't suffer, but I still can't imagine a 1.2k jacket put out by a relatively new designer to be of shittier quality yet

no i misread the last part. but DD first collection was the same thing - new designer with very high prices. and i haven't handled new TC stuff so i can't really comment. the jacket i have is from when oki-ni was still carrying him.

Considering between these two V-neck charcoal sweaters

    Abercrombie on sale for $34

Ralph Lauren on sale for $40
    [IMG]

I haven't tried the Abercrombie one, but I tried the Ralph Lauren one in person..
although its a sweater, the material is very thin.. almost like a thicker t-shirt

    To purchase or not?

Price is a bit high for my poor-college-kid lifestyle, but it's a good bet that there will be some sort of after-Christmas/holiday sale where I can kop without wallet-related murder.
I am a full time undergrad student, and often have a 2-3 notebooks, a 13" laptop + charger (MBpro), headphones and a 1-2 textbooks on me. I am thinking this would fit the bill. I also travel a fair bit, and like to have a versatile daypack where I can throw a few spare clothes, laptop, headphones and a book or two. I'm thinking this fits the bill alright.

But the aesthetic appeal isn't super high, really pining for the Special Ops Pack that Killspencer is known for, but it is just too narrow/has too small an internal volume (convince me otherwise?).
And from the few pictures I've seen of the bigger daypack worn, it looks somewhat bulbous as opposed to koolguy slouchy or slim and structured.

Any first hand experience with either of the two products mentioned above would be much appreciated.
    OR
Anyone have other suggestions for well thought out/good looking/well constructed leather backpacks?

Really wishing I had just sucked it up and kopped the TOJ daypack when I had the chance, live and learn I guess. I've seen the IISE buffalo one, which is a beauty, but its rather simplistic inside and the straps, hardware, etc leave me with a decidedly meh feeling as compared to the Killspencer (nylon vs. leather straps, simple vs. more technical back padding, nylon vs. heavy suede underside, plastic vs. metal adjusters, etc).

If anyone has a suggestion for any obscure euro brands I could check out for a slick, functional leather daypack (since I'm on the continent for the next few weeks), I'd be most appreciated - as my google skills are apparently very weak in this department and I've turned up basically nothing.
