More of a "should I or shouldn't I keep" these silent pants. Wanted some bottoms that were anti fit but a little less dramatic than my hakamas.

I'm wearing them pretty high waisted with a belt. I like how they fit, think I might get them tapered so that the stacks look better. Thoughts?

I was also thinking I should get the waist taken in, or get a looser t shirt as the belt buckle highlights the wrong area of my torso

They look pretty unremarkable, and the fit is really neither here nor there

id say that some cropped black trousers would be a good 'everyday alternative'
interesting fabrics also elevate simple-cut clothing.
dantebykiko in the yohji thread always finds some good deals on old yohji trousers if thats what you're specifically looking for. otherwise you can check out kva :slayer:

I've been lusting over some brown leather chukkas and this is the closest thing i can get here in the Philippines. Should I cop? I'll be wearing them with my raw denims 75% of the time, and maybe some light brown chinos here and there.

don't like pronounced stitching and the sleekish toe box goes against the inherent "buck"-i-ness. the Sanders / McNairy version is much nicer I think.

    je vote non.

^I agree, forget the model name but you should have gotten the other one you posted that was dark and didn't have contrast stitching or the red brick sole.

They're back in the box, waiting for return instructions from Pediwear. I'm getting the Loake Kempton's instead.

I'm guessing most of you will probably agree that these look great, but I'm not quite sure if they will go along with the rest of my wardrobe (though I'm pretty sure they would)
Any input from people who have seen my fits would be much appreciated [IMG]

I'm guessing there's a joke hidden here, but unfortunately I don't get it [IMG]

I don't think they look too great and I don't think they would go with most of your stuff. You wear almost all tan/light blue/white and stark contrast of black boots would be a bit out of place I think. Unless you have more black jawnz to pair with

I'm sorry, kindofyoung. What I meant to say is that I think you're about thirteen years too old for those er... shoes.

But by all means feel free to completely ignore my opinion. :)

His comment was on how stubby those look - either that's something like a size three pictured or it's a horribly short, stubby last

ah yes, I think it's a bit exaggerated by the sideprofile-pic and angle, here are some other pics
    [IMG][IMG]

obviously they arent as slim as the service ones (these are wings+hornsxdayton aswell) but compared to similar boots (like red wing and such) they would still classify among the sleeker models, no?
I agree that the black ones would be too much of a contrast...but the brown ones are nice [IMG]

Sleek is not the word that comes to mind. But I should refrain from commenting on SW&D stuff that I don't really understand, like I've always tried to in the past. I will now go in silent mode again. :)
